Awesome news! Well done to Stu. Fully deserved!

Top bloke imo and massively generous. His Haiti gesture was amazing.

Who won? I dozed off halfway through, woke up and it was still going on. Took me 15 minutes to realise that I was watching a repeat of the previous hour (they seemed to loop it back-to-back).

Haha, I''m lovin' the shirt you have on in your Hendon Mob photo. Good choice :-) Did you wear that in Ireland, or is that an old photo from when you were playing on the site (I believe PCUK is where a heck of a lot of the headsup shenanigans took place? - I think to this day you are the sites highest raker over any 12-month period, and always remained in the black afair).

Speaking of Lovin', my question for the well is:

Do you still get asked for ID?

Did you have a fake ID when you were younger? Was it anything like the one above?

Not only the best ITW thread I've read, but possibly the best thread I've read on blonde full stop. Absolutely stunning stuff, especially the long posts (and the rap battle vs BarryShoelace)

Has anyone seen A Serious Man? I love the Coen brothers, and thought Burn After Reading was one of the best films of last year, and No Country For Old Men one of the best the year before that. But, I'm not sure what to make of this, which I think means I didn't enjoy it. I guess I just didn't understand it, or 'get' it.

That phone one where the guy says catch a goat you've pulled.

This.

+1 to whoever said she'd call the bouncers too.

Terrible, terrible advert. Makes Michael Winner's "It only a commercial dear" look like a work of genius.

Good work and nicely presented.

Are you looking to make money from the site one say? Or is it just something you've done for the love of GTD prizepool poker tourneys?

Just caught the end of this on 4+1 thanks to this thread. Pretty sick.

I don't believe Monty Hall's Doors is relevant for DonD.

Hairydude, I had the exact same thing myself yesterday too.

I used to get a picture of snoopy when I tried to log in, so it's a lot better now Smiley

Interesting stuff. I've been done out of £3k by a world famous grimmer, a few other people for a couple of hundred here and there (including some people on the circuit I'd have considered to be friends).

I now never lend any money. Once (or 8 or 9 times) bitten and all that. What's the point? The best result you get is that you get it back. Hooray! Smiley

I like the idea of a vote before deciding prizepool. Cool stuff imo.

Is there anywhere I can follow this tourney online? I've tried the GUKPT site, but didn't see it.

lol. I purposely didn't post about this or update my facebook status to alert people it was on, but even so my phone went crazy last night.

A friend of mine who runs singles nights, was contacted by the BBC asking if he could invite some friends along for a singles night to be filmed for a "well known television programme about restuarants". Having been stitched-up like a kipper by a mate for The Real Hustle previously, I was pretty wary of this, but agreed to do it anyway for the craic Smiley

It turned out to be great fun, though alas I didn't meet anyone 'special'. I did meet an American lady who looked like she might play poker, so I aked her "do you play poker?", and it turned out she did, and absolutely loved it. What a great read Smiley She now plays games in my local poker group, so something good did come of the night.

The food on the night was awful. The cocktails were awesome though. However, I was very surprised that our couple didn't come last. It seems the other couples are equally as bad.

Has anyone seen the MW advert on telly at the moment? It urges you to play it on XBoxLive over the weekend, and they will donate cash to the War Child charity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frYyzIr4Klc
