Westworld is great

+1
and Thandie Newton naked in most episodes really helps.

See I don't like that, and Thandie Newton is lovely, I think the show does a good job of making the naked robots seem vulnerable and uncomfortable. Soz if that ruins your stiffy.

So in love with this series.  Think its wonderfully shot, well paced and spoon feeds you just enough - the twists have been delightful.
I am with Dave think the vulnerability of the Hosts is excellent, they have built real empathy with the characters even though you know they are soulless.  The scene when Thandi walked the facility crushing her view of life was probably my favourite scene in TV since the hatch opened on lost.
Its proper grown up TV - oh and music director deserves an Emmy or something.  So subtle but brilliant.  The use of Fake plastic trees was sublime, much like Yul Brynners Cowboy being in the sub levels a couple of episodes back.
Nothing but love for Westworld.

Back in June I managed a tasty chop in the SM for ~$120k and parted with the BITB shortly after since my contract had expired and it felt to be the right thing to do. It wasn't easy though since they have a good thing going on over there full of great minded people. I decided against posting about my SM victory here and also not participating in an article for P5 because I've really started to realise it's important to be a bit modest.

Since quitting the stable I had struggled with my volume for a long time since after catching up on real life (and realising how hard I had worked in the past couple of years), it felt a bit daunting "going back to work" again. I decided to contact Elliot Roe for some one to one sessions and they did wonders. For those out of the loop, he is the poker hypnotherapist/psychologist that everyone raves about.

Outside of poker I've spent a lot of time playing golf. I've enjoyed golf my whole life but I found in the past 10 years I never dedicated time to practicing. At the start of this year I decided to get some lessons, it's been really nice having something else to work towards that I'm passionate about. Currently my handicap is 7 and I've set a target to be down to 4 at the end of next year. I'm very confident I will smash that with the progress I've made this year but whenever I've said this in the past I've given up and forgotten how hard it is to be good at golf! Coaching

I've been coaching here and there for the past couple of years, spending quite a bit of time coaching some of the smaller stakes people of BITB whilst I was there. I really enjoy it and as well as it being a second source of income, I find it helps my own game too. I am restricted to how much I can coach because I play poker full time and also run a small stable on the side, but I am looking to take on around 5 students.

I am going to advertise on 2+2 once I am back from Punta Cana, but for now here is my listing: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FXkaA9BElACqa68u71uNnrhNsKlN-EAGP6s_QQsYnPQ/edit?usp=sharing

If any blondites are interested in coaching, contact me here or on skype (lucky_scrote)

Golf - Not sure if its the camera angle on the first one but you have an interesting forward press in your set up.  All correct as you start but an interesting address, did you have a high fade prior to the lessons? or when you started?  History of cricket?
Second vid is beautiful, a finish to die for.  I would suggest you have found a very good teacher.
Good luck on hitting your goal.

Pick Em on the NFL site . . .

Seems my Pick em ability is slightly better then my FF ability this season.  Boasting a 92/53 record in 530th position currently.  10 games out of first.  Maybe I should start backing my weekly picks.

Really enjoying the closeness of it all this season.  Predictions on here show how open it all is.  "Lets go Dallas".

Felt sorry for Ed. That was a ballsy routine with some real content. The lifts at least deserved a comment. The song may finally cost him?
He by far the best novelty dancer they have had.

Talking of Afternoon Tea, this was Gill's home-made version at the weekend. Have to say, if we lived together I'd pretty soon be 20 stone.

The scones were home-made, too. Delish. Proper pot of tea, china cups & everything.

Well you say that, but I'm in a shocking state with flu, cold, & all sorts, & nobody cares.

At least you have someone to "not care" about you.  Imagine if you had no one to ignore you.
Get well soon.

Gill went shopping today, whilst I was wading my way through all sorts of headaches Next Door.

When she returned, as is normal, I had to have a "viewing" of her purchases.

Amongst them was a Christmas Card which has a sixpenny bit, or "tanner" as we usad to know them, affixed to the front, so it could be placed in the Christmas Pud.

It threw my mind back 65 years, to Christmas's at Grandma Angell's. They always placed a sixpenny bit in the Christmas Pud, & it was the absolute highlight of Xmas Day to chew the Zmas Pud & find the tanner. These days folks would rather get excited by identifying Earthworms in Devon.

So the next day, we'd go to the corner shop & stock up on sweets - you could get a whole lot of sweets for a tanner. Doubt you could get a penny gobstopper for less than 2 bob now.

Jeez, I loved tanners, almost as lovely as half crowns.

We had to make do with a thrupenny bit

We had silver thrupenny bits in ours too.

But you could of broken your teeth or choked. Glad we live in less crazy times. Wink

And RHCP did the second best version of Under The Bridge ever!

Lord Chomps I do hope you are referring to the Flying Pickets version of Under the Bridge and not that other version.

That big suitcase was full of......hoodies.
I remember going to Punta Cana, can't remember thinking "dang wish I had packed my Hoodie".

Fully agree with Arb above. Taylor has got the nut best draw and is worth an ew bet at 4/1.

Are Norris and Suljovic (the obvious MVG aside) not the men in form and he has both in his quarter? The opening game vs Norris over 11 legs looks very tough to me.
Genuinely curious as I had Taylor as a lay at 3's.

Recommend £20 James Harden NBA Top scorer 3/1 BFSB
Recommend £15 Karl-Anthony Towns 13/5, ALL NBA First team at PP

if anyone is able to help with either of those, please let me know thanks

Karl-Anthony Towns backed £15 to win £100 @ PP

To win £54 apologies.

Have you bet the right market, should be 3.6 decimal odds, won't win £100 for 15. Here (if it works?)

I think your wire needs to hang lower into the vessel? From the pics I think they will be able to leap to freedom.
