meh - any biscuit that has any health benefit at all should be insta-banned from the thread

Really ?

Look at some of the benefits -

"A Sweet Way to Lose Weight

Figs are a good source of dietary fiber. Fiber and fiber-rich foods may have a positive effect on weight management. In one study, women who increased their fiber intake with supplements significantly decreased their energy intake, yet their hunger and satiety scores did not change. Figs, like other high fiber foods, may be helpful in a weight management program.

Fruit and Cereal Fiber Protective against Postmenopausal Breast Cancer

Results of a prospective study involving 51,823 postmenopausal women for an average of 8.3 years showed a 34% reduction in breast cancer risk for those consuming the most fruit fiber compared to those consuming the least. In addition, in the subgroup of women who had ever used hormone replacement, those consuming the most fiber, especially cereal fiber, had a 50% reduction in their risk of breast cancer compared to those consuming the least. Int J Cancer. 2008 Jan 15;122(2):403-12.

Fruits richest in fiber include apples, dates, figs, pears and prunes. When choosing a high fiber cereal, look for whole grain cereals as they supply the most bran (a mere 1/3rd cup of bran contains about 14 grams of fiber)."

Things that are highly unlikely to happen in our lifetime:

The Loch Ness monster is proved to be reality......(Already done, see the plethora of pics)

Aliens are found roaming the streets of Stockport......(No, those are just the denizens of that doomed hole wandering around)

Girgy posts a bird who is actually fit.....(One he has had a relationship with ? ?)

Evilpie agrees with Bainn.....(Ludicrous)

Figs are tasty....(Indeedly)

Ginger nut is an odd one for me, they are the sort of biccy I avoid and will always opt for something else in a selection type box, however when I do have one I usually have about 20 in a row, very moorish and undoubtedly a great companion to a cup of tea

Indeed, the tasty allure of God's chosen biscuit does sneak up on you and when it does, you quite happily succumb to the Ginger Nuts embrace.

Yep, not much of a biccie on its own but when dunked in tea, it is undoubtedly the king of biscuits.

Coffee fella, drink of champions...

Quite sure Barry will agree that the Ginger Nut is a true majestic star in the biscuit world.

Sigh.

"Having a pop ?"

No, simply providing clarification re the original post that a particular barperson did not leave of his own volition, plainly my view of him is different but that's based on my observations of him & his attitude towards other customers plus the stories I have been told.

*Shrug*

Mr Russel, he was not miserable to me or Helen in our dealings at the bar but thanks for your input.

Stuart Bopkin you sir are hilarious.

And Shaun is a top bloke thumbs up (edit isnt it Sean? I have no idea...)

Sean, the tall, young and very fun lad is not the ego driven individual I am speaking of.

Who's Mr happy then ?? lol

The 50+ geezer who worked behind the bar and was going out with the petit dealer who seemed to about to give birth for months.

I quite liked him. I'm not there as often as you though.

Shaun, nice bloke, generally happy, god damn good bar man as far as I'm concerned.
Nice bloke to share a poker table with to.
His girlfriend was Charlotte the dealer, pretty sure he must have done a little dance every morning he woke up.

Maybe you and I simply occupy parallel universes ?
