I am currently having a problem with all my poker sites in that when my internet connec goes down for a short period of time (5-10secs) the software freezes. It is also affecting all the other problems in my house. Please could someone let me know what the problem is? Many thanks,
Neil

Hey Guys,
I've started playing a lot of heads up poker. Does anyone know of a site/s that offer regular tourneys for HU or any tourneys at all?
Thanks all, good luck at the tables :-)

Poker Forums / The Rail / Relaxing during Poker

Hey Guys,
I have recently started playing for a living and am doing nicely. However, when I'm playing (especially when I'm playing the longer sessions) I feel pretty stressed. Afterwards I feel tense and can be a little tricky to sleep, especially when I've had a big final table and adrenaline rush. I was hoping someone could advise me on techniques they use to keep themselves from getting too stressed? I do everything I possibly can:soothing music, herbal tea (ok I'm hetro but it works!!), fresh air during breaks and also something else which is too rude to mention (for all the jokers I do it by myself and there no animals involved!!). Your help would be appreciated. Cheers poker beasts, and good luck at the tables (but not against me).
Neil

There are so many factors to take into consideration here. Primarily the most important factors are that it is first hand of the tourney and there is absolutely no need to take this risk. Secondly the hands you will be up against, trips are likely, so even if you had hit ur flush draw there is a good chance the board could pair against you. There was also a good chance you were up against the nuts flush draw and it turned out you were. IMO if you had had the nuts flush draw in 3 way action it was a push. I think erring on the side of caution in STT's is the formula for success. You can take risks when the blinds are higher and it is easier to outplay opponents with controlled aggression.
