wut, really? I musta missed that, but all I got was "that's the way it goes, but guys would wish to be" - just brags and arrogance. bit gutted there isn't a new team of commentators for the final though, heard Zimbler and Alex 100 times in the past for smaller events  Good luck Nick Hicks!!!! Div |

Massive thanks for all the updates guys. I think from reading all the support its clear this idea would work if run by DTD and given enough time. I really hope putting in the 600k does not hurt the place massively. Can totally understand why a deal had been done as the money involved is too much to turn down, however it would have been nice to see someone play for the million. Saying that good luck to the final 6 and I will enjoy watching the stream.   |

Argh, I was hoping he'd have some railers! Sure Jen and JungleC are doing that though (even though the are supposed to be impartial). If I was there I'd be drinking the local brew and signing "There's only 1 Dan Carter!! 1 Dan Carter!!"... And offending everyone in the process like only you can  LOL |

How many are they playing upto today?? Great work guys I'm just going to hazard my best guess and say they will play to 36 - the money. Sometimes they finish a certain number of levels, sometimes not - but with a whole day left to get to the final table it would be unlikely for them to keep going once down to the last few tables. i think maybe excepting Kravchenko , he was the only one who played to win , he showed real balls when others were happy to play tight and take the money he was in the thick of the action all the time.
sometimes the guy who has the heart and is willing to risk more deserves the victory.
also , Jerry Yang is a Psychology Graduate so maybe he had great reads and tells on his fello players after playing with them for days.
he also moved to America from Laos where he said he couldnt afford a marble , he couldnt speak English.
he also couldnt play poker 2 years ago.
now the guy is a Doctor has a wife and 6 children and has beaten 6400 players to win the WSOP and $8 million plus change.
i think a little credit where credit is due should be given , well done that man
Fair point and he seems like a geniune guy, i don't dislike him at all. The question though is about his poker ability and based on the limited evidence we have, I would be surprised if he proves to be a winner at the top level. Does he have to again though with that money?? Am i right in thinking he also gets an extra 10mil from Fulltilt as he quliafied through there? I believe the deal was any player who qualified through fulltilt and won got 10mil |
