Does anyone know anything about hurling? I just got a call from a guy i like to talk bets with (not for information as he is even more recreational than i am) and he has been on holiday in Portugal.
Anyway apparently he met up with the Clare team who play Cork on Sunday, they havent beaten Cork for x amount of years (i have forgotten what he said) but they were certain they would win this time, currently best priced at 11/8 :

If they were all on a jolly doesn't seem like a good bet to me but he seems absolutely certain that these guys playing will, as they have been telling him, win.
laxie is a big hurling fan think she supports cork or clare can never remember which
Thanks Iron, hopefully she will share some knowledge if she reads this.

I'm a die hard Cork fan, but that doesn't mean they're going to win on Sunday. Both teams have played really well up to now and if they play as well on Sunday, there will only be a couple of points in it when the final whistle blows.
Cork had a massive run during the semi-finals against some very tough teams. They played an absolute blinder and they also have experience on their side.
Meanwhile, Clare had it a bit easier and was given far too much room by Limerick in the semis. Cork won't make that same mistake. Clare's team is very young. Some would say that means they're inexperienced, but these Lads won the All Ireland Under 21's in 2009 and 2012. They know what they're doing and they're doing it well. Young and confident with the skill to back it is a dangerous combo during a hurling final for any opposition.
Horgan is Cork's main points scorer (30% of all scores) and Ryan is Clare's (40% of all scores). A lot will come down to those two Lads and how they play on the day.
Long story short...as much as I'd love to say Cork have this in the bag, Clare's got a lot going for them too and I'm calling it a coin flip. Regardless of who wins, it'll be one hell of a match!
