He couldnt fold it as the money went in when he was up against the lower flush and trips, what reason does he have there to fold it?

I think if you believe u are the better player you still have plenty of time with blinds at 3000/6000 to out play him and there is no need to risk the HU at this stage.  On the other hand if you believe ul need a bit of luck to win it you could try gambling at this early stage to cut a long HU short.

Yes i agree, i would've probably passed preflop...
and on the flop re-raised the $1200 all in...but the same outcome would've resulted as i doubt he'd pass his set for another 1000...

you got it all in with the nuts, can't do much else.  Just another outdraw
