Was Frankie wrong about 2 adults + 2 kids for £3k. You could make a killing selling family holidays to there for £3k

No thats correct

the hotel deal will include 2 adults and 2 U 16 with the inclusive food plan.
based on player feedback we think this is the better option.
we will give around £800 for flights so if you were to take a family of 4 you would need to buy 3 extra flights

its the BA flight from Gatwick and we are blocking 100 seats provisionally.

More to follow
hotel for 4 flights for 1?
buy 3 flights yourself?   or have i missunderstood?

Nope

Best way too. I don't want to win a package for 2 kids I don't have.

You  can take my two if u want

Do we know if Simon's commentary was done 'as it happened' or was he watching the 30 minute delayed feed and commentating off that?

I noticed at one point he mentioned problems with chip counts on the screen so he obviously knew what we could see which suggests he was possibly seeing exactly the same 30 minute old shots we were.

If he was watching it delayed then obviously there's no reason not to have people in there with him.

He was commenting on a live feed that was then played back to us 30mins later.

Yeah TBH with the bet on the river 66 wasn't in my mind.  In fact the only hands that made sense (to me) of the Turn and River bets once the 2nd Ten had dropped were quads or air.   I called and he flipped   .    If he'd have flatted the turn and jammed the river i may have passed.

In terms of getting mainstream media exposure, the UK poker players rank like this.

Liv Boeree >>>>>>>> Vicky Coren >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Others

As nice a guy as he is, I doubt Julian is going to get a single extra signup for Pokerstars - if you know who he is, you already have an account with them.

This is true of virtually every Pokerstars Pro.

I think you massively over estimate Liv Boeree in this respect.

Only poker players have heard of her.

Have to disagree...... my old mum mentioned LB to me a few months ago to me and she thinks poker is the thing that you prod the fire with.

Voted... sounds just like and looks a little like Natalie Heck.

I've no idea how i know this ...  must be from clicking links on Amatays blog Roll Eyes

PS  i'd advise against googling Natalie Heck in the work place!!

Not poker players but not stupid and more than comfortable with risky investments and the monies would not represent their life savings.
90  Poker Forums / The Rail / Staking model for friends investment on: January 04, 2011, 03:20:57 PM
Over new year we had a house full of friends around and two of them ovr a few beers asked what sort of deal I'd offer them for £ investment.   Speaking to them it would be £2-5k invested depending on wha tthe deal was  but was asked to come up with a model per £1k investment.

They were thinking something along the lines of they give me £X upfront and this buys Y% of any profit over a given period.   We bounced around a few ideas, non of which I was overly comfortable with ie paying back % profit per month etc etc.    TBH dont really need the £ for staking as such but a few k locked in my back pocket before the year kicks off is not an unattractive proposition.

It would be for all play but this would be 95% MTTs i think and I'd have to agree min play levels etc

They are close all friends so I'm not looking to offer a bad deal for them... but not looking to give away the crown jewels either.

Any ideas as to a balanced proposition?

My OPR is here if it makes a difference.
