Go for an American make as opposed to standard UK make wannabe.  The bits and bobs inside on the UK wannabes tend to be same as their standard fridges and can struggle.  US makes have been churned this size out for years.

Can highly recommend Maytag/Admiral.. follow up service is excellent also.

$100 FO online.   About 110 runners with about  25-30 left and 15 paid.

Blinds 100-200 with 25 ante.   You have about 7k chips and have been moderately active.  No real  info on V but he not been in every pot or overly active.

Find  UTG and make std raise to 650.

Early/mid pos player has about 8k puts in a RR to 2700.

Ship or await a better spot?

More for calling that I expected.   I think 7 or 8 times out of 10 i pass.   Think there's better spots given the stacks at the table and the nature of the game plus i tend to play a short stack better than most (lots of practice Smiley )

Not that it matters but I actually called and he had 44 that held.

Doobs... Benzone ... no real info on him we'd only met up at final table 10mins b4.... did think to myself a few mins before that he was prob getting a bit twitchy and looking to pick up a pot but thst was more a gut feeling based on a few dwells and passes he'd made.

BB had us both covered but not by much.
101  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Call / Pass FT short stack on: April 23, 2010, 10:35:48 AM
Final table of online with 12k prize pool and 3.5k for 1st.... 7th pays about 450.

Blinds are 2k/4k with running ante you are currently 7th of 7 with 37k in the SB.  Double up will see you go 2nd as everyone else bar the chip leader is 40-75k range.

You hold ... passed round to the button who insta shoves his 45k stack.    Simple pass/call?

Not that exciting i know but prompted some debate.

The player in question has moved on anyway (well had a baby!) so that idea no good.
104  Poker Forums / The Rail / Getting the run around for an affiliate payment for 6months... what to do next? on: January 04, 2010, 05:06:27 PM
I run a few affiliate links from my blog and sign a few players up to sites via word of mouth.

Last July I noticed that one of my highest raking players had gone AWOL from my monthly reports/payments.   He was still listed historically and was still playing high volumes (I know because he's a good friend).

The room in question was in the midst of a lot of technical changes so I made sure I'd got some screen shots of the problem and fired it off to my account manager for resolution.

Since July I've provided full details of the issue and screen shots etc to various people and been passed to around a fair bit.   It got to the point about 3 months ago where they'd acknowledged that there was a problem and I'd needed to have the player "re-credited" back to my affiliate account and be compensated for the lost revenue.. but still no action.

I mail the account manager on a regular basis (think I must have sent about 15-20 mails on this subject to them over the months) but keep getting fobbed off... "Yes we are still looking into it" ... "it's very hard to resolve"   etc etc etc.

I don't think it helps matters that the room in question outsourced their Affiliate account management early 2009 either.

The sums in question are not massive but enough to chase down... somewhere around $500.   After 6months of getting the run around I'm getting increasingly annoyed but other than chipping away via e-mail was wondering what my next step should be?

The room in question is a large 'reputable' UK high street bookmaker.
