LOL @ pints of Baileys. That became our drink of choice on our second trip to Vegas, after about 3 days we kind of treated it as a meal.

At Star City they wouldn't serve us Baileys in a pint glass so a I think the order was about 30 doubles and two empty pint glasses please  Cheesy

The third team member took some time off from crushing a very soft 5/10 game at the Venetian.

There you go that should keep you going for another few pages....

Love all the working from home stuff, just asked my boss if i could do that for a day a week in future as it would make life a bit easier. Sure no problem was pretty much the reply that I wasn't expecting but quite happy to get. I should have asked for more money as well...

Tony, haven't seen Mole in quite a while but still speak fairly regularly. Was hoping he was going to come along this Saturday as I am going out in Glasgow with Vinnie, Geo, Fett and ForthThistle. He has been having some upheaval at home so our Vegas trip this year got binned, hopefully catch up with him soon as my liver really needs that......

Every time I think of you two, a memory trigger from Vegas enters my mind.

You & Mole were sat at that bar near the Masquerade Tower, having a quiet drink or two, & I was on my way to play a Tourney Downtown.

I ran deep, & returned about 9 hours later, & the pair of you were still sat there, merrily supping.......

What a character he is.

When I was with Sporting Bet, as sort of Pro/Ambassador/Host or whatever, we took "Priority"players awat on little overseas trips, & Mole came with us to somewhere in Belgium. What fun he was, & he drove the locals mad with his antics at the poker table.

He became a very big poker Client of Sporting Bet, & he made a ton of money, or so I believe. Amazing to think back on it now, but Sporting Bet were on "Boss Media" (as was) at the time. Nobody seemed to bother about their software.

Boss Media later became some other name - International Poker Network? - & at one stage, DTD were on there.

Doubt that software changed much in 15 years, but they must have earned a goodly few bob from it down the years.

Ha! Strangely don't recall much about that day but have had some of the best times with the rodent. He always speaks very highly of you so much that he insisted that when we played a team comp at the Rio one year he had to get his hero's name recognised. Here he is sporting our team shirt below, any guesses on who the third member of the team was?

Just been chatting about the Virgin Holiday policy. I heard it on the radio and it sounded great until I heard "their careers" at the end of that sentence. You can imagine the conversations now

Employee "i'm going to take tomorrow off I have some things I need to do"

Boss "ok if you think you should"

Employee ".......ffs see you tomorrow"

This is from a Netflix director's blog

"At the core, Netflix does not have an “unlimited vacation” policy, we have a trust policy. If we trust you, then we will trust you and will give you great liberty to accomplish amazing things. If not, we will part ways."

I can't find anything on actual holidays taken v standard companies (obviously won't as Netflix "doesn't measure them") but would bet lots they have lower holiday numbers than competitors.

Yeah surely just a convention.

Reminds me of a cracking day we had last year up at Ballindalloch Castle Golf Club. We had two 3 balls booked and when we turned up the starter says "the course is really quiet" do you want to play together. Never had a six ball before, it was an absolute riot. The course is nine greens but two different sets of tees for each hole make it two quite different nines. Stopped for a few beers in between each nine with no hassle.

Lovely...

The fact he has started slow in every one of his last five jobs is surely enough reason not to panic

That front four will win you a lot more games regardless of the defence
Setting aside Holland, one league title in 15 years..er with Bayern, wpwp. add Holland in and it's 2

Massively over rated and ludicrously arrogant imho

Totally this i'm afraid. Didn't see much of them at the world cup but from what I did it seemed he had a Dutch team of very capable football players yet his tactics were to get Kuyt pinging balls into the box from about 35 yards out.

He has a point though, what an embarrassment I was a 10 for a moment in time but turns out it was a pipe dream.
