Simon IS leading the European Rolling Rankings in Omaha as he said... I think you are getting confused with the overall stats... Omaha 1st (1) Simon 'Aces' Trumper (England) 4 2,520 2nd (2) Dave Colclough (Wales) 3 1,920 2nd (2) Eduard De Haas (Holland) 2 1,920 4th (4) Birindar 'Sonny' Nijran (England) 3 1,720 5th (21) Michael Keiner (Germany) 3 1,660 6th (5) Rob Hollink (Holland) 3 1,400 7th (6) Graham Hieu (England) 2 1,360 8th (7) Dave 'DevilFish' Ulliott (England) 2 1,260 8th (7) Alex Leviev (Austria) 4 1,260 8th (7) Marcel Lske (Holland) 2 1,260 http://www.pokerineurope.com/europeanrankings/index.php?year=1

The ruling in this instance was that the dud queen was taken out, the pack shuffled (don't know why) and play would continue.
I questioned the ruling, and everyone agreed to split the pot..
But for the experienced floorman to say that this happens was quite amusing !!

Sitting in the Golden Nugget last night - imagine the surpise when the dealer puts the flop out...... TWO queen of hearts !!
Obviously the floor man was a little embarrased, but I couldn't believe it when he said "Oh, this happens sometimes" !!!
Anyone else seen this ??
Luke.

LOL - someone will let the cat out of the bag soon !!!
Our first event is tomorrow - the $1500 pot limit freezeout and Sunday is the $1500 limit freezeout. I have been reliably informed that if you make day two of a comp and you have purchased a ticket for that day they will refund your entry !! (Don't know why 'I' was told this, but it might come in handy for someone !!)
There are also lots of single table sats available - although another queue is necessary, not too long a wait. Entry fees are $125, $175, $225 or $275 - first prize paid only which is 2 x $500 tournement entry chips + $120, 3 chips +$120, 4 chips + $120 or 5 chips + $120 respectively. $1,000 in chips to play and blinds are increased every 15 minutes. (Results so far = played two, won one...)
By the way, I have been told that in all of the proper events you start with the same amount of chips as the entry fee, ie $1,500 entry = $1,500 chips with one hour clocks. (not sure if this is 100% correct but will know tomorrow after first game)
Luke.

The queues are comical - I would of thought that someone would of realised how big this year is going to be !!
Firstly, you have to queue for about an hour and a half to register, once this is done, you walk round the corner and see the REAL queue !!
Three and a half hours was the average waiting time !!
If you are coming out, the best time is seven o'clock in the morning to register and buy seats - no-one was here then and you fly through.
Remember to bring your passport with you when registering !!
The first event, the $1500 no limit freezeout, was sold out last night (2,200 seats + 200 alternates) and I have a feeling that all the no limit events will be the same prior to each event. Obviously the Omaha and limit games might be different. Unfortunetly there isn't any information available to tell people what numbers they are up to although I was told by a cashier that 6,000 of the main event places were already reserved (not paid, just reserved) leaving 600 left. This 6,000 obviously includes the online operators !
I don't know when these reservations which haven't been paid for will be released... (individual reservations I mean)
We also heard today that the organisers are looking at adding an additional day (day 4) which will give another 2,200 seats. This has not been confirmed.
I am pretty sure that the registrations have to be made in person as you need your passport.... (and queue jumping leads to some impressive American attitude - they must be learning from us !! hehe)
One more thing - do not miss your flight over !! - Virgin are being pretty strict about checking in ONE HOUR before the flight leaves - for info, the weekday flights LEAVE at 10.45am and ARRIVE at 1.30pm - not the other way round !!! You can check in online up to 24 hours beforehand..
Good luck to everyone, I'll be on the internet every other day, so if you have any questions prior to coming over, post here and we will do our best to help....
Luke.
