Poker Forums / The Rail / Coming Saturday...Two live updates for the price of One
|

As we all know the tireless Jen and the indefatigable Beagle are currently in Copenhagen, where later today it is Day1b, and the final day on Saturday
Unusually this event clashes with the £1000 main event of the Grosvenor Grand Challenge at Luton
At shortish notice, the old fella currently moored somewhere in the Caribbean and unavailable, someone has to get the glamour job of Luton, pride of.....well pride of nowhere actually but anyway, I digress
So Heid and I got to talking and we have arranged for her to do a Live update from Luton, where the main event starts at 7pm on Saturday, assisted by some local bloke who may just last to Level two, you never know
So Saturday night on Blonde is the place to be!
If you want updating on anyone in particular in the Luton main event, post here and we will keep a look out for you
Alternatively, should you wish to assist Heid in what is (from the one occasion I did it) very hard work, then please let us know. The first drink's on me. And the twelfth one too.
Cheers

Blinds are 400-800 you have 14,700 last hand before the second break, 60 plaqyers left, way away from the money...average chips is 18k ish you look down at UTG You put in a standard raise to 2500 UTG+1, Irish, in a lot of pots, seems weakish but has recently moved to table, goes all in for 7,200 Aces Trumper on the button, with 25,000 chips, asks you for a count and bets 12,200...the exact count you have given him Three times you have re-raised Aces Trumpers standard raises, he has passed twice and you won a race the orignial time when short stacked Your tournament is on the line Pass or call?

Jan Molby played in this last year
Quite a difference from managing Kidderminster harriers then
Snoopy, how are you planning to update the Luton main event as well..Easyjet on standby???
Not sure what's happening with that 1, Tighty. I think this is the first time that two main events have overlapped. The food's definitely nice here though. perhaps we need a volunteer with a lappie for Luton........ cos I can't drag Snoopy away from the prospect of a square meal for the first time in 2006!

Almost instantly he burst in to song, singing
"On a warm summer's evenin' on a train bound for nowhere, I met up with the gambler; we were both too tired to sleep. So we took turns a starin' out the window at the darkness 'Til boredom overtook us, and he began to speak.
He said, "Son, I've made a life out of readin' people's faces, And knowin' what their cards were by the way they held their eyes. And if you don't mind my sayin', I can see you're out of aces. For a taste of your whiskey I'll give you some advice."
anyone care to edit from 92 words to 50?
