I do think you need bigger balls for No Limit (and probably a better game because of it)
i agree with the first part, but don't think the second follows. You need more MOVES in NL but a greater ability to TRAP and a greater emphasis on bet size in PL. It is therefore at least worth suggesting that PL is more skilful but clearly a more passive game

Pot limit: If in doubt ask dealer before you act what the pot is and say, should you wish "I raise the pot".
PL/NL is really only a distinction in the earlier stages of a comp when blinds are low. By the time blinds are high you will find fewer differences
In the early rounds, where you can only bet 200/300 and the pre flop all in is not a possibility, certainly not if you are the first to bet, then I would emphasise that the value of your big pairs falls (likely to be lots of opponents seeing the flop) and the value of drawing hands/suited connectors rises. This is because it is difficult for the made hand/big pair to bet the drawing hand out of the pot
Once the rebuy period finishes, revert to a no limit type game

faced with pot limit and no limit as options, I agree that PL requires finesse and skill down the streets. NL requires aggression and muscle. All of my major results, all 3 of them ( ) are in PL

However you check. In my opinion he is only showing you a 2 to make you think he has a set
if you have balls of a certain size re -raise him all in and look smug
OK, I Win! I have seen this type of play a few times....it is always designed to make you fear the worst. Three times in my life I have faced it and in all three the gentleman was trying it on!

playing short stack in cash forces you to play the premium cards, a very patient game and pray your few opportunities hold up.
personally I try to be biggest stack at the outset, the flexibility it affords is enormous
in the situation in the orginial post, all in.

bet 2/3 of the pot, this should get you heads up to the turn
if you are raised then if he is a loosey you have to decide whether its an overpair or just two overcards
on a rag turn I would push again, get him worried about a BB holding of two pair
