Just don’t understand what the Government thinks it’s doing. (well i do, its populist and its xmas)
Two dangerous new strains identified in less than a week.
One already spreading rapidly around the country.
The other, South African, even more transmissible, means anyone who has been to or in contact with anyone who has been to SA has to quarantine, properly quarantine. no mixing with anyone even in the same household
Yet Ministers are waiting days to introduce lockdown measures, even though they publicly state speed is vital.
it should be today, and it should be full lockdown now, xmas or not?
and get the Oxford vaccine approved and ramp up the numbers protected asap

Hi folks
Just to confirm the prizes in the dynasty league, it's £160 for first and £40 for second.
Good luck to the finalists. I wonder if Tighty's mid season acquisition of Darren Waller from me will be the key trade of the season! Well its in your favour from next season (Kittle alongside Aiyik and Deebo should be fun), so it needs to be!

Looks like I was drinking at 2 this afternoon. I meant no extreme late reg, not no late reg. Having people rock up with 10BB kills the game, especially in O8.
These are great tournaments for the casual Tighty. You seemed to have some great 08 tournaments too, but they became PLO or bounty hunters not long after I found them.
I wasn't even aware of the added cash, must try and get some.
all aimed at recreational players Legend of the week is good https://www.partypoker.com/en/daily-legends/legend-of-the-week2 tournaments a day for 6 days, for each of 5 leaderboards just pick the buy in for you people were getting high on the leaderboard in its first week by hitting 2 final tables

A coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech is ‘90% effective’ in preventing Covid-19, the companies have announced.
The UK has advance orders for 30m doses of the vaccine, enough to immunise 15 m people.
encouraging on the face of it

the decision to extend the full 80% Furlough to end March 2021 is a pretty clear inclination of the timeline the govt expects us to be in restrictions of some sort or other/earliest possible vaccine timeline?

UPS is in breach of a district judge court order to ensure all ballots were delivered by the latest yesterday to the count locations
for example In South Florida, UPS failed to deliver 27% of mail ballots
Quite incredible and difficult to gauge what impact this might have had
In Florida, Michigan and Wisconsin, ballots that arrive after Election Day not counted, regardless when post-marked

and it may be Biden + Republican Senate? so scope to do much limited?
Every newscast, every poll, virtually every respectable pundit told us American voters had collectively turned heavily against Trump. That manifestly wasn't true. In fact without COVID Trump would have won handily?
The US commentariat seems to be unrepresentative of large swatches of the country? suppose its the same here

So if Biden takes Wisconsin where it is reported he is now ahead with the absentees and very Dem cities being counted, , he needs one of North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan or Pennsylvania for the presidency? Or have I got my maths wrong?

This is one of the key slides - comparison of possible scenarios compared with peak of first wave ...
we are told by Laura and co that this is the chart that caused them to think again
new data shown to PM + Chancellor yesterday shows - "all models suggest a significantly higher peak than those estimated at any point in the current Reasonable Worst Case Scenario" - wide range in the projections but one even puts daily deaths over 4,000

this is a good read from Farrar of Wellcome "Jeremy Farrar @JeremyFarrar There is lots of high-quality data on COVID-19, but we haven’t always done a good job of explaining what it really means, or put the data in context of a fast moving dynamic epidemic, when days matter. So I am going to have a go." https://twitter.com/JeremyFarrar/status/1322247424941936641?s=20-- on a different issue, just sod off with leaking a national lockdown next week at 9pm on a friday night. Its government by populists, trying to see what the reaction is, rather than doing what is right and then giving clear messages once decided. We're now beyond the Vallance/whitty reasonable worst case from mid September, and still they prevaricate
