clearly the best thing to do is lay Imogen, currently sitting @ 3.5

Someone did and was kind enough to film it.

WARNING - very naughty pictures.

Andrew, the temptation to click was too much!  Wink

Make sure you remind me to clear my history before wifey uses the computer in the morning!!  Grin

You could always tell her that you thought "... very naughty..." meant it was going to be pictures of her with aces up her sleeve. Cheesy

I usually find any mention of the word 'insurance' is what gives it away as being 'not a good thing'

I have to watch Big Brother otherwise I'd have nothing to talk to the girls at work about.

For some reason they don't seem that interested when I try to tell them about being knocked out on the bubble when my flopped set gets beaten by a runner runner nut flush.

Paddy Power - has the whole field (although they take them off sometimes to update them).

Nikki was favourite, followed by Aisleyne - Jenny has now come in as favourite but that doesn't give good enough odds to bet on.

My Big Brother bet for this year is £10 on Imogen to be the last women - that was when she was @ 10:1

In a way I'm hoping not to win - would it be slightly worrying if I knew Big Brother and it's audience well enough to predict that so far in advance.  Cool

I don't know where you got that many people being voted out. But on the point - do you really think they'd give odds like that if they were going to pay out for multiple evictions?

I like the consecutive headlines on CardPlayer

     Cunningham Doubles

     Cunningham Doubles Again

     Allen Cunningham Busts in 17th

Excellent comic timing from Mr Cunningham   Cheesy

I think it'd depend on my situation.

In the likely event that I was perilously short stacked I'd just wait for a decent hand to go all-in and try to limp in after a double up. But if I had any sort of strength I'd be aiming for the big finish.

Ah, but these are still limit games (until the final 9) so if you're considering the all-in you've got to be pretty perilously short i.e. it has to have become irrelevant what comes on the flop, you're just committing and that's that.  It's more of a pertinent question if you've got the average chips - do you sit on them or go for it?  (It looks like you side with the "go for it" camp)

That's pretty much what I meant - if you're low enough in chips to have to go all in or pass, then I'd try and double up with any decent hand because you probably wouldn't have enough chips to limp in to the money anyway.

If you're not that short stacked, I'd go for it. At least until I got to the super short stacked situation anyway. Either way I suspect I'd manage to find some way of going out on the bubble.

Great Reporting - does anybody look like they might actually fall asleep at the table?

Agreed it's a good fold, even knowing what he had I'd fold rather than face the coin flip situation (at that stage of the tourney anyway)
5712  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: CAN SOMEONE HELP on: July 07, 2006, 01:38:06 PM
It is of course the employers responsibility.

If you register with the TPS and tell any company that does phone that you have done so and to remove any contact details they have for you, then they are legally required to stop.

However if you are still receiving such calls (or it is not possible to ask the company to stop sending these types of messages - eg text messages) you can complain directly to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). They are the government body responsible for enforcing the regulations. Their website is www.ico.gov.uk or phone helpline on 01625 545745.

This was paraphrased from the TPS website, it only really applies when it is the same company repeatedly ringing (as opposed to several companies independently doing so), but the only way to stop them is to go through with a complaint at the end.

i raise preflop..

in your case, after you limped in the SB, i pass Wink

Got to agree - with three people in your odds of winning would be too low to make it worthwhile.
5714  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: What would you do next? on: July 07, 2006, 01:25:01 PM
Obviously I didn't really mean they were the only 2 possibilities - just the 2 I think most likely
5715  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: What would you do next? on: July 07, 2006, 01:23:51 PM
The 2 possibilities are that he was bluffing first time round, but has now caught a pair with the king.

Or he's bluffing both times and doesn't understand the need to be consistent - it's a shame you hadn't played a few more hands to see what was more likely.

In this circumstance I'd call, based on the fact that if he was bluffing both times and you fold, he'll never let go of a draw because he'll think he can bully you off the pot if needs be.
