In the Last Man Standing, we lose Peter-27 and his Indian Magpies who scored just one more point than his name predicted with 28 for the game week.

On we go to GW18 where one of you will be fired!

Champions League

31 x £15 = £465
Winner - £240
Runner up - £135
Beaten semi finalists - £45 x 2

There are 31 entrants (MereNovice is the 32nd but he's Merely there to admin)

Champions League is scheduled to start GW18.
All 31 teams will be drawn into 8 groups of 4 (with one 'bye') and will play 2 round robin matches against each other for a total of 6 matches. Teams will receive 3pts for a win, 1pt for a draw.

Teams will be seeded according to their positions in the league at the time of the draw.

The top 8 in the league will all be 1st seeds, teams positioned 9th-16th will be 2nd seeds, teams positioned 17th-24th will be 3rd seeds and teams positioned 25th-32nd (32nd will be a 'bye') will be 4th seeds.

The top 2 in each group will qualify for the last 16 where 2 leg matches will be played until the final.

Champions League
GW18-GW23 = group matches
GW24/GW25 = last 16
GW26/GW27 = last 8
GW28/GW29 = semi finals
GW30 = Champions League final.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All -4 hits in a GW will be deducted from your Cup score in that GW. This applies to all cup competitions.
If at any point a GW has less than 6 matches (due to postponements), the Cup GW will be declared void and the fixtures will move to the following week.

All draws will be administered by MereNovice and will be posted in the thread in advance.

Rob M was sponsoring a spot prize this season for highest game week rank. I notice this week Strike Gould made it to 2035 on the week which I don't think has been beaten.

Any other claims for that so far? Please come forward.

Highest game week rank in any league in any game week wins the RobM prize. A bonus £50 I think. Details will be itt somewhere.

I think your rank this week is the best so far.

Details?

Unfortunately not - but hopefully in the near future as I have a match-bet with the blighter.

PS Should we be addressing you as "Your Champness" these days?

Unfortunately not!
Lost the play off.
I am still lowest handicap in the club though so a small consolation
Clubs packed away now for the winter, might play some poker instead, just need to look up the rules again.

In the Last Man Standing....

We lose Bobbins FC (Nicholas Wright) who scored 33 points (-4).

I have suspended from the league and it's into the next week.....

Good luck all.

As Ironside helpfully pointed out, Last Man Standing starts this week GW16.

Blonde Poker Last Man Standing (£20)   24   £480 (+£40 added)
1st - £240
2nd - £160
3rd - £80
4th - £40 (added money)
The LMS will start in GW16 and the lowest score each week will be removed from the league until we reach the Last Man Standing in GW38. In the event of a tied lowest score, there will be a tie break. The tie break will be the same as the ingame FPL Cup tiebreak.
If a tie is scored for lowest score, then the following tie-breaks will be applied until a winner is found:
1.Most goals scored in the Gameweek
2.Fewest goals conceded in the Gameweek
3.Virtual coin toss
All -4 hits in a GW will be deducted from your Cup score in that GW.

Was just logging on to post something similar.

I have the access to the league so will suspend and kick out the low scorer each gameweek until we get down to the last man standing.

I think we have a couple of dead teams already in the league so maybe it will be one of them or maybe we will have a surprise weak link. With Vardy suddenly finding some form we could see a dead team resurgence

Should be good fun

Parked on a different road near work today. Had a note on my windscreen tonight telling me not to park on this road whilst i am at work as the residents want to park outside their houses in THEIR spaces when they return home. It asked me to have some consideration for the residents. I suppose it is better than having my wing mirrors kicked in but still annoying.  It wont stop me parking there, although probably avoid that exact house or houses.  I will pass the information to the police and add it to the crime file and crime number they created when i reported the wing mirror damage.

Might get a camera for the car.

I have a similar issue that i have reported to the police. Its where i park for work where the residents clearly think they own the public road space outside their houses and get annoyed at the cars that park outside their houses. Last week both wing morrors on my car were damaged badly which wasnt an accident. Would be interested in knowing how to catch the culprit in the act.

It's weird how attached people are to their spaces, I'm pretty certain whoever is doing it has lived on this road for years and decided that it is their space despite being a public space. One of my neighbours on the other side of the road has threatened women and racially abused a mate of mine for parking in 'his' space, which is just a public space.

In one way i get it but would never go so far as to abuse someone or damage property. If you buy a house on a public road then you have to accept it goes with the territory. Unacceptable behaviour
