Watched the first hour of 'The Open Replayed' last night (Sun morn) at 2am. It 'appeared' to be live and perhaps some sort of test transmission to iron out the creases before moving to the normal 9pm slot (tonight?).

Have you got any more info for us on this and your involvement with it Tikay?

Never underestimate the power of the On/Off switch!

His selection of Wilkinson is certainly brave but I cannot really see how he's going to help us with the limited game time he's had especially in international rugby.

Obviously eating my words about Wilkinson. Not brilliant but a very good performance. I'll save the superlatives until later in the comp when we've had a proper test.

I thought when Ashton took over it might be an exciting time. We've certainly got to blood some youngsters and start building for the next World Cup in 2011 - I believe this year's is already lost Sad.

His selection of Wilkinson is certainly brave but I cannot really see how he's going to help us with the limited game time he's had especially in international rugby. I've been waiting for ages to see what Farrell can do as I've never followed RL, but again, a bit of a dubious selection at this stage.

Having said that, there'll be no-one cheering louder (in The Bull's Head at least Smiley)

A thoroughly enjoyable and very well written account. Why didn't you take you're lappie and give us a live update?

I'm in! Woo-hoo! Now all I need is somewhere to sleep Sad

I'm hoping to be down on the Friday and would love to meet up with some Blondes. Please note the capital 'B' - if I was being salacious it would have been 'blondes' Smiley

Anybody know if my membership card obtained from Grosvenor Gt Yarmouth will suffice for Cardiff?

Thanks very much everyone. Had a great day and a lovely meal, just a shame I'm now 43 years young!
3068  Poker Forums / The Rail / Can anybody help me get Poker Office working? on: January 20, 2007, 01:16:46 PM
I purchased Poker Office v2.21 a few weeks ago. It starts up alright with the main window and the startup wizard dialog overlaid on top of it. When I click 'Start Live Tracker' the 'Live Tracker Setup' dialog appears. I select 'Prima Network' (I'm hoping to use it with Stan James then, when I eventually get it working, Poker Stars) then click 'OK'. The dialog disappears leaving just the main window but this never gets refreshed, i.e. there is a blank space where the dialog was on top of it and if you drag the window off screen it comes back completely blank. The program doesn't respond to the 'Close' button and I have to shut it down using Task Manager. I have tried starting it before, after and during playing on but to no avail.

I'm in contact with Poker Office support but they've not come up with anything yet. I wondered if any Blondes had had the same or similar problem.

To make matters worse, my PC went tits-up a fortnight ago and I bought a brand new one and after re-installing Poker Office I still have exactly the same problem with completely different hardware - my AV, firewall and anti-spyware are all different too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
3069  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Free music downloading on: January 18, 2007, 06:34:56 PM
I take a sought of half way house approach to illegal downloading. I pay £9.95 a month to Napster which gives me the right to PLAY 99% of the music they host so long as it's just on my PC. Normally if you attempt to burn it to disc, Windows DRM thwarts you unless you pay for it. However, I've purchased a program called Replay Music which intercepts the music being sent to the sound card and converts it to an unprotected MP3 on the fly, which I can then use as and when I like.

Paying the £9.95 salves my conscience - and to be honest I don't download that much anyway.

Thanks a lot Bongo (Paul?), I don't know where I was going wrong before but my files were in the same (relative) place as yours - you're a star!
3073  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Outlook 2003 data recovery - a tale of woe! on: January 13, 2007, 07:47:20 PM
I think they're in either the application data or local settings folder in your user folder in documents and settings.

They're hidden folders though so you will have to set the option in my computer (tools > options) to show hidden files and folders.

I searched the whole of the drive looking for *.pst files and none were found. I've also looked manually in the locations you mention and others but to no avail. I am already displaying hidden and system folders too.
3074  Poker Forums / The Rail / Outlook 2003 data recovery - a tale of woe! on: January 13, 2007, 07:06:44 PM
My motherboard committed hara kiri so I've had a new PC with a new SATA drive and have installed my old C: drive in the new system as D: drive. I had Outlook 2003 installed (as part of Office 2003) on the old drive and need to recover them and import them into Outlook 2003 which is now re-installed on my new C: drive. Trouble is, I cannot find any Outlook data files on the old drive (searched for *.pst). In the past (with Outlook 2000) I have found and transferred these data files when installing a new drive with no problem - does Outlook 2003 work differently? If anyone could offer any help it would be greatly appreciated.
3075  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Who What Why When How on: January 02, 2007, 11:19:29 PM
Multi question time

Who   -    who do you wanna be    whats your poker ambitions

What  -     What type of player are you   mtt/sng/cash   holdem/omaha/mix      pl/nl/fl

Why   -     Why did you get started in poker

When -    When did you start playing poker

How   -     How are you getting on  are you reaching your targets

Thought the new year would be a good time to post this

Who - in common with most people I suspect (even if they won't admit it to themselves!) I'd love to be good enough to make a living and travel further and further afield

What - I play micro limit NLHE cash ($0.05/$0.10) and $10 STTs and MTTs all NLHE. I also play down the local pub STTs for £10, £20 and very occasionally £50 buy-ins.

Why - I always had a feeling that it was a 'sexy' game and anyone who played it was 'mad, bad and dangerous to know'. I watched last year's Poker Million final live on TV and that's what got me started.

When - I was playing on play money sites from July 2005 to learn the basics and finally took the plunge on Nov 27 2005!

How - Rubbish! I think I'm getting better and until Christmas (when I played a lot) was making a small profit which is now a small loss. But my luck will turn again soon I'm sure.

Woo-hoo!!!!!

Won my 1st MTT - it's the regular PNL tourney not sure whether it'll be on at midnight. Anyone who wants to - feel free to critique my play!
