Anyway, in other news - Gary McAllister as 1st team coach. Good move imo.
Has he been a coach since leaving Liverpool? - don't think I have heard anything of him since he stopped playing. Congrats on your recent wedding. Hope you both will be very happy together. Cheers fella! McAllister was manager and Leeds and Coventry, and also assistant manager at Villa. Not sure he's proved himself to be a good manager, but I think a coaching role will be ideal for him. Always a consummate professional and a mentor that Steven Gerrard said was probably his biggest influence in his career in terms of how to approach football, looking after himself, etc.

So is he sick, or is he simply avoiding going to work because he doesn't like his manager?
If he wants to move, why not hand in the transfer request? Oh no, he wants to move AND he wants to make sure he doesn't lose out on the transfer money available. He doesn't need that extra money.
No problem any player moving to a club for money. No problem with a player moving to another club because they think they'll win more trophies there. No problem with someone moving to a different club because they think it'll be an easier life there. No problem with someone moving to a different club because their missus likes the shopping there. No problem someone moving to a different club because they prefer the colour of the home shirt.
I do have a problem with how Sterling and his agent have tried to engineer this move.

Watch a David Attenborough documentary on SD and then switch to an HD channel (on a telly that supports HD obviously). The difference is profound. If you don't notice the difference, then instead of Curry's, it might be worth a visit to Specsavers instead.

Never mind the box, get yourself an HDTV, its an absolute must have, especially given that you seem to watch a lot of sport.
Try ae.com they do some cracking offers. Definitely my best site for electrics.
Just for balance, HD is virtually indistinguishable from ordinary telly IMO. Are you sure you have seen HD Red-Dog? Even without my glasses on i can tell the difference. Actually, no. I'm not. I have an HD box and an HD telly but HD broadcasts look virtually the same as ordinary ones. Are you using a scart cable or a HDMI cable? If its scart then you need to change it to HDMI, if its HDMI then im really not sure. The back of my telly has more plugs than one of tikay's spam posts. The DVD player has a scart, the PlayStation has a multi-pin and the Sky box has a cable with a pink end which is plugged into a port marked HDMI 1. All seems ok. Possible nowadays the difference isn't as big as it used to be. The difference to me is huge. Especially when watching sport, but films, anything really. Not only is the picture substantially better - so is the sound.

If they aren't an official parking organisation, how did they they get Alex's address just from his number plate?
They're a company that is a member of a parking organisation - that doesn't mean that all their letters have to be accurate or legally sound. In a case like this, it's always worth talking to someone who is up to speed and qualified in this area though - rather than relying on a bunch of degenerate poker players for advice

Have done nothing about this and recd this in the post (to my old address weirdly, not the updated address the DVLA have). Plan of action now? Click to see full-size image. |
Alex, you owe me £118. Pay it now please. If not, I'll send you an official-looking letter, then you'll have to pay.

But I do agree with you point about how stupid they are. This person who did what he did on Friday could have been stopped within a few minutes & it's only because of the utter lack of any adequate security in Tunisia that he was able to continue for as long as he did, 40 minutes according to some. If this was in the UK, he would have been stopped within a few minutes. So I don' really get it, why go there, but I suppose it did work?
Really? You honestly think that if a madman with a machine gun and a few grenades goes rampaging on Brighton beach one hot day this summer he'll be any less successful in his quest than the nutter in Tunisia? I think 40 minutes to take him down was a really fast response. There's only really America where I'd expect it to be any quicker and that's only because they all have guns. I am very critical of our police force, but I do believe this would have been sorted a lot quicker than in Tunisia. Police tend to be at emergencies within 7 minutes on average. Would it take that long to turn up and then be able to stop on him whilst on rampage? I personally don't think so & the 40 minutes he was on rampage surely must be questioned at some point More lolfacts for you to ignore http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12636731There was a delay of 52 minutes in getting ambulances to Tavistock Square, the scene of the bus attack where 13 people died.... One group of firefighters said they could not enter the tunnel at Aldgate because they had not received official confirmation that the live electric rail had been turned off. One police officer stood on the rail to prove that it was no longer live - but the crew insisted they still needed word from London Underground managers. Four other firefighters had already gone into the train. The first crew reached King's Cross station at 0913 - but did not go to the scene until a second crew arrived at 0942. That was because their communication protocols demanded having a back-up teams available.... The inquests heard that over at Edgware Road, Assistant Divisional Officer Alan Davies, then head of Paddington fire station, refused to allow his men into the tunnel because of the possibility of a dirty bomb. That was in central London, not out in the sticks. Maybe next time we'll be better organised, as detailed below, but good luck if you are on a beach in Blackpool. http://news.sky.com/story/1510475/tunisia-style-attack-simulated-on-london-streetSimon Morgan said: "If you look at the incident that has just taken place in Tunisia, that attack lasted seven minutes from the first shots being fired to the subject being neutralised.
"In London, that response time could be achieved, but as you go further out, if we look at the situation with the Derrick Bird shootings in Cumbria five years ago, the armed response was at the (other) side of the county."Can't be right, their police is foreigners, innit?
