Do you have a website? Do you need a website, I sense a deal coming on...
As mentioned, does it have legs? What shipping costs would there be?

From reading the German one (looking at the pictures), activate external display on your laptop 1st. Then change the source to input 2, then do a re-scan. You could also plug it into your TV using s-video or composite to test it. The USB cable and device install that you mentioned will be so you can use the remote as a mouse to change slides etc. Not that much snow here, NE Wales, not enough to stop you getting to your presentation anyway

Yeah, if you had one now, then you could check whether the laptop, its external port, the settings etc, are all in order. Which would narrow it down to the projector and no more messing about with ALT+F4 or the display settings are required. Then you can focus your attention on the settings of the projector. I looked up the manual but the english one unfortunately is a dead link, if you can speak any of the other languages then you are in luck http://support.acer-euro.com/documents/manuals/monitor/manual_pd723.html

Whilst scanning for poker images I found this which I couldn't stop laughing at. It's NSFW and some people may be offended as it contains nudity, for this reason I'm not going to hotlink it and i'm goin to put the URL in 2 parts so you have to copy and paste and delete the space if you want to see it http://megi.kabel1.cz/web /zumpa/spider/poker.jpg

Cap your download rate as well. 70KB/s isn't too far off maxing out your connection. And what have you set your upload limit to? I'd have done 10KB/s or maybe a bit less.
You can turn off MSN Today by openning messenger main window. press the ALT key to bring up the menu, go to Tools -> Options, General, then the 4th checkbox down for me is 'Show Windows Live Today after I sign in to Messenger', uncheck this box and click OK.

It takes a little time for the ISP to update the MAC address of the router instead of the PC you are using so that may have been one reason for it not working straight away. To get your desktop working, it needs to be plugged into the router with a network cable. (RJ-45 on both ends) Then you should run the network set up wizzard as it may have been connected via USB previously not via the network, which means it won't work! To run this: Open My Computer, on the left there is a link to My Network places, click this. On the left there is a link that says Set up a Home or Small Office Network, click this. Just go through clicking next until you get to the Select a Connetion Method page, (screenshot below). You need to select, this computer connects to the internet through a residential gateway... Further on in the wizzard you have the option of enabling or disabling file and printer sharing, do whatever you need. Once you get to the end of the wizzard it should scan the network and detect the DHCP settings from the router and work!

i manufacture poker tables hows this for you £200+vat i make these for grovesnor casinos so the quality is very good
Well the price is right, but the table isn't quite. If you do different styles then maybe..? It's for home games, so wouldn't want a dealer cut out and would definately want cup holders. If shipping adds on £100 or something silly then I'm back into make it myselft territory I think. Not after a cheap one mate. Been there done that. So far I am guessing my table will cost about 100 quid. Though this does not include shipping (oh yeah and I have acquired all the wood and tools from work) ;-) Whereabouts in the uk are u? If you near hants it might be an idea to try and split the shipping??? I'm in N Wales but shipping across the UK beats shipping accross the Atlantic When are you ordering stuff? I think a couple of things, probably cloth and cupholders would be a lot cheaper from the US if I didn't have to pay all the shipping.

So was that a no to having another monitor to test it with? Another PC would mean you could test the projector on it too, but easier with another monitor.

3" definately seems too much now compared to theirs. But i definately want to use just one piece of both foam and vinyl. You can see a join in the foam through the vinyl because it's pulled really tight. Does this shop in Woodley have a website? Do you think they will do mail order? Otherwise I think i'll get Premium Firm 80"x90" from here http://www.smfoam.co.uk/site/html/foam.php TheWhisper, what spec of foam did you get for under the cloth? Did you use 1" for the rail or a bit thicker? Now then, anyone want to show me a pre built table before I start ordering all this stuff? Thanks for the help guys.

I'm not sure where USB will come into it?
External display, probably when you said CTRL+F4, thats what will switch to external display. It will activate the rear monitor port rather than the laptops LCD. Or rather than using the CRTL+F4 shortcut you could right click on the desktop, click properties, then goto settings. You should be able to set up the 2nd monitor there, depending on your graphics driver, it may be under an advanced setting.
If you have another monitor you can plug that in and then we can tell whether you need to mess with the laptop settings or the projector settings...

Been to that site already, unfourtunately even though they are from the UK they bought everything from the US Which isn't really what I want to do, high shipping, long waits, possible customs charges. But re-examining the site, they bought their foam from http://www.smfoam.co.uk/ so I will see if I can get the right size, then I will have no more excusses for not making the table. As for these real nice poker tables for £250, where might they be? I have seen some Ok ones for £300 and some real nice ones for £450... but not for around the £250 area.

It's connected by a 15pin monitor cable right? Do you have a monitor to test your laptops output? There may be several inputs to the projector, you might need to select which one with the buttons on the side or a remote. Often they auto detect an input though, which is why I suggest testing your laptops output 1st with another monitor (or high def TV if it has the right connector).
