Sounds like a nice trip Eck.
I played in the Hamilton 4 ball on Monday and would probably have been lynched, if my partner hadn't been playing so badly. My score was the "counter" in 16 of the 18 holes and off my present 27, I would almost def have won a singles comp on a score of 91. Don't know if we won a prize as the computer wasn't working, so just had to put the cards in a box. Hopefully I can keep the improvement going for the rest of the season and maybe get a couple of prizes.

Played a senior open at Cawder (easy course of their two) to the north east of Glasgow on Thursday. Finished with 33 stabos but a bit disappointed as I had 29 with four not particularly hard holes to go.
I ldropped a not too bad score on my index so I have crept up from 27.9 to 28.

played my first competition of the year, lanark 4-ball seniors. Our playing partners were from eck's club alloa and did pretty well, might have got a prize. The course was pretty tough - my index is 27.4, the course handicap was 32! The weather forecast was for it to be cool and breezy but it turned out to be a marvellous spring day.

though if they fall for that they deserve all the bad luck they get. One theory There is a question as to why the majority of the hosts of brood parasites care for the nestlings of their parasites. Not only do these brood parasites usually differ significantly in size and appearance, but it is also highly probable that they reduce the reproductive success of their hosts. The "mafia hypothesis" proposes that when a brood parasite discovers that its egg has been rejected, it destroys the host's nest and injures or kills the nestlings. The threat of such a response may encourage compliant behavior from the host. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brood_parasitism

The par four hole in one might slightly change hole in one stats, but not albatross stats. I assume the lady in question holed in one and albatrossed different holes (as otherwise the achievement wouldn't be so noteworthy). So (leaving aside multiple opportunities through the round) the odds of it occuring are the product of the odds multiplied.

The albatross is huge odds in itself - according to the internet 1 milllion to one for pro's (male presumably). So multiply that by the hole in one odds and you get the huge figure. The actual 1 2 3 4 5 6 on the card doesn't require an albatross, so I would think the odds of that aren't a huge amount more than the hole in one.
