Hi guys,

I am based in Spain now and have played a bit at the casino in Marbella. Really fancy having a shot at this localish tournament at the end of June. I dont play anywhere near as much as i used to but would consider myself a decent punt in this field (from what i have seen) hence the markup.

http://www.ukipt.com/tournaments/marbella/

I am provisionally playing day 1B of the €1000+€100 main on Thursday. Looking to sell 30% at 1.2 (10%= €132)

I will do a trip report and update on twits.

cheers, Alex

There is 11 players left in the Grand Prix and 25 minutes on the clock in level 18.  We have about 125k, blinds are 3000/6000/1000 ante.  Play ends at the end of 18, and all players on day 2 get a £210 min cash and we are only presently in for £75.  The blinds get rolled back two levels for day 2 so we will be coming back to 2500/5000/500.

We are on Button.  Two players at table are tanking every spot to run down clock.  Likely we will only see another 10 hands this evening.  We are 5 handed.  One stack has about 575k which is 25% of chips in play.  We have two players covered, and one of the mad tankers has about 250k.  The big stack is playing very aggressively and has already jammed one of our opens and is making things very difficult.

We are on button, big stack is SB and BB is mad tanker.  What range do we raise?, do we raise fold any hands? Is there any hands we open shove to avoid the potential jam by mega stack.  Obviously the top of our range we are raising to induce him, but what range are we doing that with.  I was pretty unsure in game, and some of my thoughts where life EV of a day at Old Trafford rather than perfect strategy.  I am just interested in what people are doing in this spot, or if they would just keep playing standard.

he ripped 100bb+ pre over an open?

Normal ranges and avoid the big stack.

depends on flop cr % and villain, v good regs i dont think having a flop 3b range here is good, makes playing qj easier when we also have sets/nut draws and an easier time down the streets ip with 150bb left to play for.

If mp wants to  bluff he should call turn raise river/bet when checked to.

Call and dont fold with a4s v good regs. Theres a tonne of dominated draws he can have and it comes down to knowledge of the player on whether he can triple on a brick runout.

w AQ id call and see what the turn action was.

Worth noting this is effectively 200nl

No reads or history, villain is on only 1 table. River is interesting and im unsure.

definitely give people warnings (maybe a yellow/red card system), they get so slow and miss antes/make mistakes they think they get unduly punished for/screw up the action because they dont hear things....a real pet hate.
