I'm starting to get worried now - if we have too many some tables will have to be self-deal  Sad - it's a tough one to call - do I ask them to get more dealers in in case? Don't want them charging more than 10% for dealers if they have too many & not all that have said they'll be there turn up.....

Oh - and a regular in there is a magician - meant to be putting on a show before the tourney - a collection will be taken for charity after his wee show. I'll suggest it goes to the Poker4Charity.

I ended up not going last night cause it was starting at 9.45pm. Ill get there this week though. Its only day 1 of my 2 weeks holidays so i need to start staying up late so i have a chance of staying awake at the club. Instead I entered the 6.5 K 9ppm ladbrokes tourny where i was chucked out in 300thish place. I came 28th on raked hands freeroll though!! My best to date was winning 500 bucks last friday in the 6.5k 9pm. Its only 10- bucks to enter. Im going to try my hand tomorrow on willy hills blonde tourny. ill probably make an ass (am i allowed to say that) of myself but its all good practice and in my opinion a better way to spend my money than a summer holiday..................am i addictted to Poker.........hope not!!

mad

There's an earlier tournament on Thursday - single rebuy - £15 - see http://81.201.129.247/forum/index.php?topic=1362.0 for details - earlier start than normal so finished at a reasonable time for those of us who have to work.

2 of the posters on here (me & Teacake) won £220 each in there in a £10 rebut recently - but made an arse of the deal at the end  Embarrassed - still you live & learn.

FAO Ironside

Rod reckons theres gonna be a £50k Omaha tourney at CinCin.

Rod do you have any details?

None at all - was just something one of the owners said.  I'll let you know if I find out more....

Think you got that the wrong way round Red  Smiley.

Welcome to Blonde madasahatstand (we really need to shorten that Wink)

Hopefully we'll see you in Cincins on Thursday.

Red-Dog - I'm impressed well done fella & it was well worth the donation!!  Grin

I reckon you put the frown on for effect though!!!
6853  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Red's Roots on: September 01, 2005, 05:20:48 PM
Red-Dog - that story's terrible. Nimbyism disgusts me, couple it with racism & things get worse.

I only hope things turn out OKin 18 months time, & I echo Ironsides on the taking a stand against any eviction.
6854  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Red's Roots on: September 01, 2005, 03:05:06 PM
I enjoyed reading that Red-Dog.

I'm told that I have 'Irish Tinker' ancestry from my mother's side.

I know nothing more aobut it as my Gran wasn't happy about it & it wasn't discussed  Sad.

No-one should be made to be ashamed, or to abandon their heritage. Every time I hear of the 'cricket test' or similar I want to smack someone - it's racism disguised.

Maybe Doyle Brunson should have got 1 after this:

?Jay Terrell: Ok gezzers, it?s a monkey to go!
Doyle Brunson: How many players in the hand dealer?
Jay Terrell: There are 3 punters in this coup geeze
Doyle Brunson: Floor! I can't understand a word he says...'
Doyle Brunson during the £10,000 buy-in London Poker Open

Guy playing last night got angry because the dealer insulted him -

"Monkey"
"What did you call me?  Angry"
"500 to play - a Monkey  Roll Eyes"
