Erin a normal name? Good grief!

I like Sally or Jane, saves confusion, but Erin is certainly quaint & nice.

The Gaelic names are becoming more popular up here - we are multi lingual you know  Grin

Also among us Celtic supporting types Erin (as in Erin's Isle - Ireland) is a popular girl's name.

Sorry Tikay - we'll stick to Grandpa  Grin

Erin's not an uncommon girl's name up here.

Div's wife gave birth this morning at 00:32.

A baby girl weighing 5lbs 10oz. They've named her Erin Jane.

Mother and daughter both doing fine.

================================

Div is one of the new Scottish influx & came 11th in the Blonde online tourny. The freedom to play such tourny's will now no doubt be curtailled (although - if you're up all night with the sprog - you could always play poker Div  Grin).

PS As all us Scots newbies look to Tikay as our online Grandpa - does this make him a Great-grandpa?  Wink

Oh come on Rod, you must know where the 999 comes from?Huh?

Its about you!

To be honest tho i did take me a few minutes to click.

Don't you remember the Night the Trip 9's kept popping up on the River, Hence your original signature '9 On The River'!!

Very Whitty Renny, Complicated, but i like it Kiss

I thought it might be - but I was going for pisstaking & trying to get a mention in of the candy-string thong  Grin

I've never had the bottle to ask Mrs R how she liked them  Embarrassed

As Renny's not online - I suppose it's up to his pals Wink to introduce him.....

Renny is a short, greying father of 3 who has been refered to (generously IMHO) as George Clooney's Mini-me. Grin
He has shown a worrying tendency to win TPT poker games recently, some uncharitable souls have suggested that the night before he fills the Magners bottles with a non-alcoholic substitute after his poor finishes in earlier tour events.
He plays football for an amateur side based in Glasgow, he claims his best position is midfield - but lately his best performances have been as "the nutter who shouts abuse at teammates, referee & opposition from the sidelines".

Dunno where the 999 comes from - but have a theory it was his wife's response when he asked her to wear the candy underwear he brought home from a recent 'football' (drinking) trip to Hamburg. Grin

Renny - welcome to the board Kiss

Over-reaction big man.

While I've no love of RFC's team - there's nothing offensive there.

rule 14 should read english only in the card room

That's what the signs say at the Riverboat. I've heard a bit of foreign speaking & the guys doing it were warned (& had the grace to look embarrassed).

Further update for Ironsides - you're costing me a fortune in 'research fees'  Wink.

The Truffle Club, while in the 1st & 2nd floors has lift access to both floors & the  bouncer was keen to let me know that they are wheelchair friendly.

Gentlemen I think we have a winner.
6973  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Glasgow poker room on: June 16, 2005, 01:56:32 PM

I guess this is a daft question, but I'm gonna ask anyway, but maybe I am missing something.

If the club has disabled fascilities, how come it is only accessible by stairs or steps? Does that not make it, effectively, off limits to most disabled people?

Not a daft question - the bouncer got a wee bit annoyed when I burst out laughing when he said they were wheelchair friendly - but wouldn't help to get access to the precinct.

Best bet will probably be a taxi to Legs & Co. Not the plushest - but the girls are pleasant (to the eye & to speak to).

Sad Ironsides, Seventh Heaven has disabled facilities etc - BUT you can't get to it in a wheelchair (5 or 6 steps from all directions before you get there). You'd need someone to help you get to the place.
