Went 3 years ago, wouldn't go again. The place is basically dying now surrounding states have casinos. I guess if you interested in seeing the mssive wealth divide in the us, this is place to start for the bad side but your got vegas to see both sides!

If i was forced to go again I would probably never leave the Borgata. No idea how to get their via public transport, I drove.

NFL fixtures are sometime early summer definitely after the draft.

Question of the day

Should University education be free? Or should students pay back for their education afterwards?

I think it is ridiculous we are sending 50% population to university, a lot of those people degrees are not helping get a job afterwards. As a country we simply do not need people academically educated to that point, it would lot more useful in a lot of cases to vocational train people to fill gaps in the workforce.

I would go back to sending 20% ish and then we could look at bringing back grants. Of course this is electoral suicide because the demographic of floating voters is often people with children who have been told they should now be aspirational to send their children to university, when they probably didn't have that opportunity.

Tbh this would not dissapoint at all as a supporter of a premier league club that has no shot at ever winning the league (Norwich). Gap is too big and playing the big boys holds little interest to me on a regular basis, we simply can't win over the long term. My favourite seasons of the last 20 years have all been in the championship.

Cook (c)
Compton
Bell
Root
Taylor
Stokes
Bairstow
Ali
Wood
Broad
Anderson

Is what I would pick for Durban, picking Bell on the basis that I don't see a better alternative. Happy to give Rashid a go on pitches that will geniunely turn, unlikely to get one in South Africa. Plunkett to come when Wood misses a test.

Amazing this thread has just four posts.

I mean it is clearly awful news for regs if true, but I will hold my outrage until an official stars announcement.

Probably my favourite film series of around that time. Been loads of interesting stuff about it on the news.

one of the only film series i can think of where all the films can be argued are as good as each other

Love back to the future and easily the films I have re watched most in my life. I would say 3 is clearly the weakest of the trilogy.

I can't think of any standard food/drink I have not tried. I can't stand the taste of mushrooms, I am fine with them if you disguise the taste in a spag bol or similar but on there own they are the devils food.

Graeme le saux was recently in dictionary corner on countdown, he came across very well and definitely is above average intelligence. Rather more bizarrely Matt Le TIssier was a contestant and won 3 games.

David Wetherall (ex Leeds and Bradford defender) has a first in Chemisty from Sheffield University, Tom Adeyemi currently at Leeds turned down going to Cambridge to pursue a football career, if these guys a dumber than all of your mates you must be hanging round with some geniuses. There are always going to be some exception to the rule.

I always thought a cheap and cheerful coffee brand on the high street was a good idea. This mainly came aboot after visiting Canada and seeing a Tim Hortons (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Hortons) on every street corner, though I actually think Greggs/McDonalds have now probably got this market covered.

I pretty much love coffee in every form, from instant to fancy independent coffee shops serving coffee from around the world.

if the government ever sorted out the tax farce would the lions be a good franchise to move over here?

Detroit is a big sports city, with big fan bases for all its franchises in the US even if a lot of these might be transplants now elsewhere in the US. If you are looking at franchises to move think more team in southern parts of the US struggling to fill stadiums Jacksonville etc.

Though to be honest Tighty's point is probably even more important and the next franchise move is much more likely to be to LA.

Dolphins have fired Philbin according to multiple reports in Miami.

Can't say I am surprised we look awful and it has been surprise to see him keep the job for so long, given the mediocre record he has in Miami.

I think he is the 3rd coach to go after the Wembley game, I recollect Allen being fired at the raiders last year.

I went last year for a few days and loved it. I stayed in Reykjavik hiring a car from the airport (they are about 25 miles apart) which worked well. The golden circle which you can do as a day trip from Reykjavik is THE thing to do, which is various tourist spots in a loop mainly geological sites, volcanic activity, waterfalls etc. Also the blue lagoon is worth doing which is basically a massive swimming pool which is geothermical heated.

I went in May so it never really got properly dark at that time of year whereas November you are going to get the opposite effect. It wasn't as expensive as I imagined, slightly more expensive than the uk but not much in it, I think the financial meltdown there really had an effect. Cash is almost never used there though obviously accepted most places, everyone uses cards almost everywhere can't think of somewhere that didn't take a card.
