Hello all,

I live in Reading and wondered if anyone can advise the best, nearest places to play - i know Reading has casinos but don't know if they have poker or what the quality/frequency of games is? Not too familiar with playing 'live' games yet so where woul dbe a good place to start?

Great account of your trip Rob - haven't posted on the thread before but have thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

I only started playing online a few months ago and had my own very low key trip to Vegas at the end of May - stayed in the Golden Nugget for a week and sat down with the locals and tourists for my first live poker experience. Had planned to play at Binions but to be honest didn't think it was that impressive (I'm sure it's different for the WSOP Final !). Came away a little bit ahead in cash and a long way ahead in experience! A slightly different level to the sort of money and game level you've been dealing in in Vegas, but the process is still the same i suppose!

Good luck with your next tournament ..... i'd imagine there's every chance you'll win it on the rebound!

PS For anyone else on the forum - i live in Reading; can anyone recommend the best places to play live in striking distance?
Cheers

Evening all - still have to post the reason for the name but suffice to say it's not all that special! Looking forward to the tourney and hoping to make an 'Andrew Murray' style impact rather than a Henman!!

Good luck all (don't know why people say that as it's obviously the last thing we all wish each other when it comes down to it!)

 Huh?

Hi all. Newbie here!

Whilst the lapdancing development of the thread is obviously interesting, any news on the new card room opening up yet? I am up in Glasgow for work every few weeks so would very much like to visit.

Does anyone know how membership is organised? Is it possible online?

Otherwise, what day of the week is best for the Riverside casino? I think i used to be a member of it when i lived in Glasgow some ten years ago but suppose would have to renew now.

Cheers.
