Ok thanks again rich. Thought it would be better if for DTD (more runners) if you could finish one day1 then play another could possibly get another 30-40 players in the later flight??

Thanks Richard. Helpful as always.

I've managed to talk john into coming up on the Sunday for the two live legs too so will be a good weekend.
Will you be around?

Hi, just a couple of questions as I haven't played a Grand Prix before. For the live legs do I still need to register online? If I need to re enter a live leg with one of seats how do I do it at the club?? Also for a live leg if I'm late regging do I still need to do it online before it starts or just reg when I get to the club?

Thx

The reason I believe that you would not be charged is I remember watching one of those police documentaries on tv once where they follow them around with a camera and a numpty bought what he believed to be a wrap of coke or whatever and the police nicked him. He got arrested for possession of a class A drug. When it was tested it turned out to be cornflower pmsl. They had to release he without charge.

Not quite sure how we have got here but it kinda helps me forget how woeful we were on Saturday. I hope the Ox bangs in 2 tomorrow lol

I can't really say anything without it looking like bias, but...

There's two reasons why I don't think the red should have been rescinded:

1) The rules say it should be where the ref made an obvious mistake and Mariner made what was objectively at that speed a reasonable decision. It's only from the one angle on tv that you can see it's going wide. That shouldn't be enough to overturn it.

2) If someone gives me a bag of sugar and tells me it is a kilo of Columbia's finest, I can get stopped by the police and charged with possession of cocaine. What matters is what I think I'm doing, not whether it was actually possible. Ox genuinely believed it was going in and he stopped it with his hand. He should get the penalty that reflects that.

I'm no barrister but I would be pretty sure (around about 99%) that u would not be charged. You would be arrested, the "substance" would be tested and you would be released because it is not illegal to deal sugar.

Should you be convicted of drink driving if you have a couple of beers "think" that you are over the limit and drive but when you are pulled and breatherlized you blow under?? ( I don't in anyway condone drink driving before anyone asks!!)

Ox might of thought he was denying a goal scoring opportunity but he wasn't. Therefore it would be treated as just a deliberate handball which carries a yellow.

And it makes me laugh all this if he played for a smaller club then he would be banned that is complete codshit!!

The FA have confirmed that both Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are free to be selected by Arsenal for tomorrow’s game against Swansea.

Referee Andre Marriner mistakenly sent off the left-back after Oxlade-Chamberlain’s handball and after appealing both the wrongful dismissal and the red card itself, Arsene Wenger can call on both players tomorrow.

In a statement, the FA said:

An Independent Regulatory Commission today heard two claims from Arsenal, one of mistaken identity and the other of wrongful dismissal, both in relation to Saturday’s game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The commission ruled that the dismissal of Kieran Gibbs was a case of mistaken identity and transferred this to his team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Subsequent to deciding this matter, the commission then considered Arsenal’s claim for wrongful dismissal in relation to Oxlade-Chamberlain. This claim was upheld, meaning Oxlade-Chamberlain will not serve any suspension with the standard punishment withdrawn with immediate effect.

I might be wrong but Im not sure that the ox will be banned however yes Gibbs will get off because of mistaken identity.

Wow, really shocked at this.

Arsene Wenger took over as manager in 1996 we were playing uefa cup football and finished 5th the season before and thought it was an achievement. In his first full season he won us the double. We have been playing champions league football ever since and unless I've forgotten we have progressed through the first group stage ever since.

We won the double again 4 years later and only 2 years after that he made us the best team ever over the course of a season (IMHO). He then over saw a massive change in the club, a massive investment by the club and we built the best stadium in Europe (again IMHO) he has kept us competitive ever since. Yeah we have finished 3rd/4th without winning trophies but I am convinced without Wenger in charge this would not have happened. Look at Liverpool, United this season and even the likes of Tottenham who have spent so much trying to catch us, finishing in the top 4 isn't as easy as people think.

If we had been finishing outside of the top 4 we would not be where we are now. We would not be able to afford £42m on ozil we could not have bid £40m+£1 lol for Suarez.

Yes, we sold some players cuz trying to convince players that in 2/3/4 years we would be spending £40m on players and be challenging again is hard footballers have short careers and they along with everyone else wants success now.

We have been challenging for the title again this year and we should win the fa cup. We have just tied the core of the team down to long term deals. The debt on the stadium is reducing season by season and I'm sure the cash that everyone "thinks" that has been there will be spent more and more over the coming seasons. I cannot honestly believe that we have had £100s of million sat there for the last 7 seasons and Wenger has refused to spend it.

It would've been nice to buy a striker in January but I just don't think it was possible. Chelsea were looking too and they aren't shy about spending money but they couldn't get anyone.

Man City could just end up with the league cup, they won nothing last season so throwing bucket loads of cash at a team does not guarantee success although it helps.

Arsene Wenger has set arsenal up so well to be a "super club" over the next decade without ever putting the club at risk.
Arsene Wenger is a legend. Again only IMHO!!!

Have to agree that anyone with 10 chips would have spent more than £200... I would say easily £400-£1000

Just a thought ... Those with 10 if you make day two early in the week via online and have a tasty stack that realistically will be hard to beat will you be arsed to travel and play all the live legs aswell??? Or was the reason for the 10 purely to get the UKIPT seat???

I had a net spend of around £275. My total spend was around £345 but also won a bit of cash when finishing a place or two outside the golden chips.

My feelings changed about getting the 10. When I started there was already a couple of players on 4 and 3 so didn't know if it would be realistically possible so I started off playing it as Grand Prix sats but I won 2 very quickly. The third and 4th didn't seem to take too much longer and all of a sudden I was well in the top 10 on the leaderboard. Once you get to 6/7 you can't stop so it is literally all about the ukipt seat.

If I get a good stack early on I will probably still play a few live legs as I will probably stay over on the sunday night to play the Monday so will play at least the 2 sunday legs but don't know about the Friday or Saturday. I guess it depends on if I have any re entries online.
90  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: How much do you tip? on: March 19, 2014, 08:56:07 AM
Pretty sure that when I last played a ukipt event there was 10% reg fee, 3% then taken from the prize pool and then when I cashed and was filling out the form with the pokerstars person there was a space on the form asking how much I wanted to tip. I felt obliged to tip cuz she was sat there with me and just asked outright how much I wanted to tip!! I thought this was terrible.
