Ah, the romance of the Cup.
Let's get to it!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
£10 League. The FA Cup.
Okay, so we've got 34 runners in this cup. This will be played as a straight up FA Cup style knock out. We need to get from 34 teams to 32 teams
So the bottom 4 teams at the end of GW 8 will playoff for the remaining 2 places.
Those bottom 4 players have been drawn together by my lovely assistant, MereNovice and are as follows;

1. Real Ale    Daniel Phillips   v       Soliders    Graham Codd
2. CheapAsChips    Simon Lawlor   v       Christophers Team    Chris Vickers

This playoff will be played over 1 leg and will take place in GW9.
Please note that transfer hits (-4) scores will be deducted from total scores in all cup competitions.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

really happy that my team get to play in the prelims, its the main reason we tried to get lower down the table.  Best of luck simon

Skol/Carlsberg/Tuborg/Fosters/Carling, anything that describes itself as Lager but is served from a pressurised keg or can.
Any beer that proclaims itself to be a 'smooth bitter', or that makes a selling point out of needing to be served extra cold.

I've tried these, but would rather drink post-mix Coke than any of them.

Hello David,

Can you expand on this please?  I'm not much of a larger connoisseur but do like coors, estrella & Heineken.  Are these from pressurised kegs?  how do you tell!

Sorry for all my questions, just interested to know more.

Have a read of this http://www.camra.org.uk/about-real-ale

I tell by taste, and by the headache that comes from taking in too much gas with my beer.
There are some craft or micro breweries that produce lagers but none of your likes are amongst them.
it's a matter of taste and choice so if you enjoy what you drink, who am I to say you shouldn't?

I see, so generally mass produced lager will be from pressurised kegs, I assumed all lager is like that.  I do like real ale but i would call that bitter?  Leeds Pale is readily available in leeds... obv... and is one of my favourites, but also like trying whatever is on in a few pubs near work.

I like to think that players want to stay with their local team, or the team that trained them & brought them through the youth network, however in reality at any point during that young players development if they hadn't quite met the standard the club would have ruthlessly cut them off, thousands get dropped every year.  Its not like these are lovely families that look after their children & then they choose to run away from home, the club isn't a family, fans might feel like it is but its not.

I think that players make decisions for different reasons, some want to make money, others want to play & others want to win things even if it means playing less.

We would all do something slightly different, i would stay at my local club, at least a think i would, but i support my local club so i feel some how connected to it as i see the ground every day & all my close friends support Leeds, if i supported a different team maybe i wouldn't feel this way.

Are bradley johnson, jonny howson, fabian delph, jermaine beckford or ross mccormack better off after leaving leeds to go on to bigger and better things?  I'm biased of course, but i'd argue that not many of them are.

Just watching the manure Sunderland game on holiday in Cyprus hard to believe how bad Sunderland are.  Literally talking Derby 2007 points total if nothing changes.  Manure comical to be top of the league. Great opportunities to oppose them now on all kinds of markets IMO now they are top of the league.  So tilting sitting in this bar aboard with dozens of cockney manure plastics chanting 'we are top of the league' in beckenham accents.

i said this the other day & i was laughed at, i can't remember a team this bad, they're awful.

Very, very, very happy to announce that Fedor "crownupguy" Holz has joined our stable as a joint investor/coach. I really think this makes us the best place in the world to go to if you want to seriously improve yourself as a poker player. Not only is he one of, if not the best MTT player in the world but he has a great business mind and together with him I expect us to be able to take our company/brand to the heights that I imagined.

Extremely happy about this obviously Cheesy

congrats mate, glad its going well.  Out of interest does the stable have a name?
