Gill's Birthday today, so we are celebrating with afternoon tea, like what posh people have.

Gorgeous pictures. Tony you look like the cat that got the cream.  Saying that...Gill definitely went to specsavers.

Happy Birthday.

X

Before I do the Stakers Update, a quick shout out to Grant, aka Longines.

I was shocked to hear earlier this week that he has joined Team Angioplasty.

He's still in hospital if I have read the coup correctly.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery mate.

Many thanks Mr T and everyone else, I'm touched. Went to bed Sat night and thought I'd pulled a muscle, was trying to stretch it out when Mrs Long suggested a trip to A&E may be required. Blood tests confirmed a mild and had the Angio yesterday.

Apparently it's a borderline case between stents and a bypass, decision to be made shortly.

On #InternationalNursesDay I have to say they are all truly fantastic, the level of care shown has been humbling.
Get well soon. Xx

Hi Rooks. .hope your well. Yes 12 dear me times flying.

Stacey has been in hospital all this week with an infection but hopefully comes home tomorrow.  Reece has stayed here this week.

What a start to another year we thought might lighten up a little.  What with Reece in and out constantly,  we also lost my brother to that awful C disease and myself going through various tests it never seems to end.

I try to think it happens to us because we are strong and can cope but I also would like to say ...hey even the strong need a little rest.

Reece has been having it a little tough recently. Since last post he has been in and out of hospital. Blood transfusions have become the norm. Yesterday he had to have 2 bags because he is passing blood too frequently and his HB levels have been low. A few weeks ago he had laser treatment on abnormal areas in his duodenum.  This may not have worked due to this recent big blood loss . We have him home again tonight tired but home. Pending further surgery. When will he get a break.

It is an offence to kill badgers or destroy sets.  Not sure Mr Russell was thinking of keeping cows, so don't think he has to worry about TB?  Though it is pretty controversial if it spreads to cows anyway.

Guess Ronnie might just scare them out anyway, does he do squirrels?

I wouldn't want to hurt them or devoid them of a home anyway. They were there long before me so they can stay.

Squirrels don't bother him but something the size of a badger 100% would. The plan was to just fence them off a bit but more to keep the dog from them than them out of the garden.

Unfortunately I've recently found out that Ronnie's pretty poorly so I don't think it'll be a major problem for too long Sad

Matt.

I was really sorry to learn that big Ron has the big C, but on the plus side you've given him a wonderful life, (10 years is a decent innings for a rottie) and I know you won't hesitate too long when the time comes to do the deed. A good life and a good death makes a winner in my book.

Looking back, I bet you learned more from him than he did from you. that's the way it is with dogs. They always give more than they take.

Give him a scratch behind the ear from me. x
Sorry about Ronnie Matt , we have just lost my brother to this awful disease. It sucks for sure. Xx
