Jan is a great player, but even great players make mistakes! Aparently he thought Martin was weak and declared he thought Martin was on a 'squeeze' play.

Where does this leave Jan, chipwise?

was he being squeezed when he called the 4800 early position raise with 68 os
from those and othet hands i saw him play i came to the conclusion that he is more than happy to have a gamble. That s not to say he is a bad player just happy to gamble at times .
Did he say why he thought martin wa son a squeeze play or did he just hope he was ?
I didn't get too in depth...it was the wrong play, and i personallly think it was a terrible play. Hope is probably the defining word there.
But as you know Paul the younger generation of players such as Antonius, Boeken, Ivey, Mizrachi take a slightly more agressive stance than the more experienced players. I think they play to win throughout the whole tournament and are willing to gamble in order to do this. Being permanently stuck in 5th gear thoough isn't always the right thing to do. I think thaat shoowed with the Martin v Jan pot..
lol
you ought to be playing sunday8pm not reporting
i doubt very much any of the players u mention would call an early position raise with 68 os for that amount of chips (4800 i think it was) from thier stacks and doubt they would make that play with A 10 in that spot.
there is a world of diffrence between being "slightly more aggressive" and making gamble plays calling raises with junk and setting in oponents who have indicated big strength and are pretty well pot comitted, particularly when they have only put 7K into the pot and end up creating a 70K pot with an average hand.
sorry if i upset you i didnt mean to abuse yr " pick for glory "
