This isn't meant as an insult but Chelsea/Arsenal/Man City all contributed to their own downfalls. I can't remember too many 'great' Man U performances but what they've done better (perhaps more so than any other season) is 'just enough'. So many games where Man U squeezed out results and when we played you in January and it looked (and I would say still looks) as though you have no midfield and are miles off the pace in European terms but the mentality has never wavered and is what got you through.
I guess what I'm saying is that all the title contenders have gone backwards this year (with the exception of City, who've moved forward obviously, but still with numerous and fatal flaws) so it's a case of Man U as being the best of a bad lot (in relative terms - it's a very weak Premiership this year imo).
I hope no-one takes that as a dig, but when you compare the top teams to Barca etc...no-one looks good enough. But congrats and everything, coming back from that 6-1 defeat to City and the big points deficit obvious means you deserve it. You definitely need new central midfielder(s) and a striker though, maybe even a new central defender to go with Vidic.

Last week was the worst week so far. I was in Campione and the tournament started at 2pm and was always finishing past midnight so (even though I was on a recovery week) I hardly did any exercise. Add to that a general lack of healthy food beyond breakfast and it only served to make matters worse.
Nevertheless, I cracked on on Monday with some 5-a-side with the boys, despite CERTAIN blonde members failing to turn up, and managed to strain my thigh. Took a day off from doing any cardio yesterday and today but I did a weights session today using 'jack3d' for the first time which really made a difference. The guys I'm doing Tough Mudder have recommended and Elky also said it was excellent in helping with his kickboxing training.
I've got 3.5 weeks left of P90x/Insanity Hybrid which will take me until the end of April then I'll have two weeks where I'll just do mostly light weights and cardio and take the last few days off before Tough Mudder. I'm going to Puerto Rico with Keys next Thursday for 9 days before covering the GSOP Grand Final so I'll be back on the resistance bands and I've mostly cut my drinking down to an absolute minimum which I'm really happy about.
Oh and I can now do about 8 hand-clap press-ups in a row, which is faintly hilarious.

Surprised at the lack of mentions of Chamberlain. Obv he is young and not overly experienced, but no way would I be leaving him out of my Prem starting XI. Everytime I have seen him he has looked outstanding. Lol at Krul even close to Hart. DeGea has been decent as well ever since his shocking start to the season.
Sir Chesney imo.

A storm of swords A game of thrones A clash of kings A dance with dragons A feast for crows Is the definitive order Looking forward to new series! Are they going to show a feast for crows and dance with dragons as 1 series do we know? I think they will move stuff around from books 2,3 and 4 to fit the narrative better. I think finishing this season with a certain wedding would be a great idea. Not sure if they'll get that far though.
