Not wishing to sound pedantic, but is there any reason why NFH keeps refering to Brian Clarke as Brian Martin Huh???

thanks for the updates guys. Best of luck to Mary Martin in this today.

Mike

Here's Mary Martin (I think) surprised into looking up and therefore a little blurry, sorry.  She seems pretty cheerful as yet...

Cheers - Good to see she's enjoying herself. Also nice to see the Mole and Brian Martin both looking as cheery as ever. Good Luck to the 3 of them.

Pretty dumb.

what happened to his chips ? were they removed from play or blinded out ?, did the small stack double through or just take the blinds ?

Lol, it was you wasnt it? You just want to know if you blinded out to the money or not?

haha - no not me. Was just interested as wasnt sure what the proper ruling was for occassions such as this.

Its taken me a few days, reading a page here, 20 there, but I finally made it to the end (sofar).

What an excellent thread, I've enjoyed the stories, the pictures, snippets of information and even the pee taking at times as made me howl. It has been a brilliant read with a good mixture of current affairs, past experiences and poker.

 Thank you,

All the best

Mike

still wanting to go this year

not sure if i should try and go during wsop and play a side event of some of the beligos mirror events

or if should wait till later in the year keep looking on expedia for prices but i only get prices for hotels i have never heard of and no one mentions

the other hotels dont seem to be listing there prices

Ironside, try looking on airline-networks.co.uk, this is a site I use to get a baseline price, and then shop around to try and beat that, often going to the hotels site and the air carriers site independently will work out cheaper.

Have a good one

Mike

Good work with the updates
135  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: DUSK TILL DAWN - HAVE YOUR SAY AT THE COURT HEARING.............. on: August 07, 2007, 11:22:46 PM
I would like to play poker at Dusk Till Dawn because.........

I love playing poker and want to play in an environment that is providing a service purely for poker players. Dont get me wrong, casino's try and provide that service and some make a good attempt at this, others just see it as a way of getting people into their salesroom to play on other gambling games they sell, blackjack, roulette, slot machines etc, but to be honest this is the equivalent of a olympics standard swimmer, swimming at a fun pool being tempted by inflatable lilo's or a European tour golfer being asked to play on a seaside pitch and putt.Other than the odd go on the lottery, the football  pools and the grand national we dont see ourselves as gamblers and have no interest ( or the money to lose) in these type of games.

I want this club to succeed, this is an excellent opportunity to do things right, run by people who share the same interest, keep the game above board, promote the game in a positive light and for the people of Nottingham, put the City on the map, world wide.

My name is Mike Saban, I and my wife are both poker enthusiasts, play low stakes both online and live, have never met any of the people involved with opening this club but would both like to wish them every success in this venture, which in my opinion is a turning point for the good of the game.
We live less than an hours drive away near Worksop and are contactable via our blog sabanpokerblog.blogspot.com

Kind Regards

Mike
