Ralph "Karabiner" Shalson has enjoyed, in his own words, "a miracle". With only around 5.5k to his name, he raised with pocket jacks and found a caller in Rana "Been On A Really Good Run And Has All The Chips" Gurnam on the button. The flop came something like 6-2-9 and Karabiner bet out. Gurnam flat-called. Come the equally low and unthreatening turn, Karabiner thought something along the lines of, "oh f*** it," and went all in. A snap call, and Gurnam turned over pocket sixes for a flopped set. River: jack Karabiner up to 11k or so. Insert own caption as appropriate: Despite this minor setback, I declare Mr Gurnam our Current Chip Leader - storming ahead on around 45 or 50k.

Also on the lady front, we have Chili down to just 4.3k and making faces every time I stroll past her table, and Tracy Dell on around 7k. And for the sake of gender/species balance, in Manwatch, we have Ben Vinson on a healthy 20k, while in Dogwatch, the Red One is on a tasty 13k.

I found Mr Kevin Smith, remarkably un-skierlike and full of hate for no-one as far as I can see. He's on around 6k at the moment, plus the blinds he nicked while I was watching. He raised to 600 utg and it folded around - much to his disappointment, as he turned over pocket jacks. Click to see full-size image. |

chip count of Kevin "Bagman" Smith please?
Was sitting to the left of Thewy, normally looks like an idiot skier or similar with white hate and shades.
Cheers
I thought you couldn't behave that way in a poker club any more, even in Alabama. Will do our best though...

Players are on a 10 minute break, and Maggie said we could have dinner on DTD. I'm afraid requestaments are getting a wee bit difficult unless you can show me a photo or otherwise prove to me that the requested people exist, what with them all moving around and busting out and whatnot. Will check the blondepediable ones after the break, obv. Meanwhile please enjoy this photo of Poochie Plinton, or the artist formerly known as Pete Linton, currently enjoying his 9k stack. The below gentleman, who wishes to be known only as SKULLMAN (capitals my own, but it seems appropriate somehow), is, by the power of Greyskull, doing rather well. He's on over 30k and thus a contender for the chip lead, far as we can see.

A monstrous pot developed not long ago between DTD oft-winner Chris Bruce and DTD oft-do-weller Chin Koh. There was only around 1.6k in the pot as the river was dealt, but a raising war saw (I believe) Brucey bet out, Koh raise to 3.625k and Brucey reraise to 5.5k. "I don't mind being the next one out," said Koh, but the immense dwell said otherwise. He attempted to get the dealer to deal more cards, specifically the he felt would be of benefit to him, but she refused and he eventually laid it down. Brucey showed an enigmatic , and got himself off to a nice start on around 15k. Like my cat (may she rest in peace) Brucey smiles even when he's sleeping: Click to see full-size image. |
Any chance of knowing the board in this hand, it might make it rather more interesting. Oh yeah, I'm a bit out of practice. So hard to remember what game they're playing... The board was, most interestingly, . Apologies.

A short-stacked Mr Richard Hawes and his youthful visage have enjoyed a much-needed double up. With the flop reading , George Kyriacou checked to Linden Rowland, who bet 1k. Hawes promptly made it All In for 2.8k, and back to Kyriacou, who promptly called. With just a moment of hesitation, Rowland laid it down and they were on their backs. Hawes: Kyriacou: Turn: River: Hawes evens the scores, and it won't be early doors for him tonight.
