Hurrah! No further eights or nines fell on the turn or river, and off he went.

Does he have a pair of crocodile heads for shoes?

Yet to be determined. I feel that sticking my head under the table while people are playing rather undermines my dignity.

A monstrous pot developed not long ago between DTD oft-winner Chris Bruce and DTD oft-do-weller Chin Koh. There was only around 1.6k in the pot as the river was dealt, but a raising war saw (I believe) Brucey bet out, Koh raise to 3.625k and Brucey reraise to 5.5k. "I don't mind being the next one out," said Koh, but the immense dwell said otherwise. He attempted to get the dealer to deal more cards, specifically the he felt would be of benefit to him, but she refused and he eventually laid it down.

Brucey showed an enigmatic , and got himself off to a nice start on around 15k.

Looking across the room, I am struck by how much poker players sort of look a bit the same. Sure, there's the occasional lady, perhaps a hoodie or baseball cap that's shinier or more offensive than the others, but today's Award for Services to Fashion in Poker goes to this guy, one Mr Vincent Anderson. He looks, well, pimpin'.

Meanwhile on Table Trigg/Mallu, which I admit sounds like a dreadful folk song refrain, but not involving the recently departed Mr Mallu, Chris Rhodes has been doing rather well, taking a very hefty pot off of Ceri Rees. The board looked good for Rees holding , but Rhodes was holding and dashed Rhodes' quuenly dreams.

Oh dear, poor old One Eye Rumit may be One Level Rumit today - he's down to around 3k after an Incident. He wouldn't elaborate except to tell me that the chips went to the gent in seat two, and Rumit mucked. "I can play a short stack," said a philosophical Rumit. "I'm used to it. I think."

Is that dangerous?

No - but ironically if it snaps you will soon have another flat battery!

Spray some WD40 on it to alleviate the squeeking in the short term -  - if it is just loose - tightening is a 5 minute job requiring 2 spanners, if it is worn a new one is less that £15  -maybe 40 to get it replaced my a mechanic

Your only problem with the WD40 - is knowing what your looking for!!!!! lol
