Mr Greekstein related an interesting tale of donkage to me from his table. It seems that two mateyboys limped in and a third Mateyboy, holding aces, raised. The flop came down 8-7-3 and it checked around to Aceyboy, who bet. A flurry of raising between Matey One and Aceyboy resulted in Matey One snap-calling all in with...
...8-9.
Hurrah! No further eights or nines fell on the turn or river, and off he went.

A monstrous pot developed not long ago between DTD oft-winner Chris Bruce and DTD oft-do-weller Chin Koh. There was only around 1.6k in the pot as the river was dealt, but a raising war saw (I believe) Brucey bet out, Koh raise to 3.625k and Brucey reraise to 5.5k. "I don't mind being the next one out," said Koh, but the immense dwell said otherwise. He attempted to get the dealer to deal more cards, specifically the he felt would be of benefit to him, but she refused and he eventually laid it down. Brucey showed an enigmatic , and got himself off to a nice start on around 15k. Like my cat (may she rest in peace) Brucey smiles even when he's sleeping: Click to see full-size image. |

Looking across the room, I am struck by how much poker players sort of look a bit the same. Sure, there's the occasional lady, perhaps a hoodie or baseball cap that's shinier or more offensive than the others, but today's Award for Services to Fashion in Poker goes to this guy, one Mr Vincent Anderson. He looks, well, pimpin'. Click to see full-size image. |

Oh dear, poor old One Eye Rumit may be One Level Rumit today - he's down to around 3k after an Incident. He wouldn't elaborate except to tell me that the chips went to the gent in seat two, and Rumit mucked. "I can play a short stack," said a philosophical Rumit. "I'm used to it. I think."

So yes, here we are at DTD with our camera and our laptops and endless notepads. Who is playing? Well might you ask. A veritable Who's Who of UK poker, among them these delightful happy faces: Mr "One Eye" Rumit Somaya: Mr Ben "Happy Go Lucky" Vinson (Madone - still on his starting stack last I saw): Click to see full-size image. |
Mr Steve "Fresh As A Daisy" Jelinek: Mr Michael "What Are Those Flat Rectangular Things The Dealer's Handing Out Again?" Greco: Click to see full-size image. |

Oh dear, I've just got here this minute because I was under the impression that it started at 8. Marvellous.
Anyway, turns out it starts at 7, which is now, so shuffle up and deal! Gl all, whoever might be playing - to be reported shortly.

Snoppy sounds like your fan belt is loose.
Is that dangerous? No - but ironically if it snaps you will soon have another flat battery! Spray some WD40 on it to alleviate the squeeking in the short term - - if it is just loose - tightening is a 5 minute job requiring 2 spanners, if it is worn a new one is less that £15 -maybe 40 to get it replaced my a mechanic Your only problem with the WD40 - is knowing what your looking for!!!!! lol Oh no, God help the beagle. Call the RAC!
