Kate Langshaw picked up a few chips, raising preflop and getting herself called by Alistair Cairns in the big blind. Come the flop, he checked to her, and she shoved for her last 50k. Some squirming, but a fold resulted in Langshaw taking the pot.

Nicky Mclellan found himself all in with A-K against Darren Shallis' A-K, and with no surprises from the deck, they split the pot.
A few hands later, Mclellan raised and it folded around, and he showed A-K again, to guffawing from the table. Steve Jelinek tells me that maybe 12 of the previous 20 hands, Mclellan had found A-K...

Oh deary deary me, a very unhappy Chris Bruce is OUT. Steve Jelinek shoved with K-4 most unreasonably, Brucey called with a very reasonable Q-Q, the board came down with two highly unreasonable kings on it.
Brucey: "FFS, I'm f***ing so sick of this s***..."
Jelinek: 140k, and, "I should have told him it was a bad call..."

Barry Neville has more to rant about now, after taking down an enormous and bizarre pot. Steven King Vine raised, and Neville reraised. Flat call. "That's not a problem, sir," lied Neville. The flop: Vine checked, Neville bet a sizeable 20k, and Vine called so fast I barely saw his hand move. Turn: , and both players checked. River: and again, both players checked it. "Flush," announced Neville, turning over the very feeble . Vine showed him , and promptly wandered off to calm himself down. Neville remained sanguine for a moment, before starting, "'E played thaht ahbsolutely 'orrendous..." Neviile: 130k Vine: 90k Click to see full-size image. |

Massive Pot AlertWith Nikolaos Sforos already all in before the flop, Rana/Harpit Gurnam moved all in to a bet from David Mundle. Some dwelling, some squinting, and eventually some calling. On their backs. Sforos: Mundle: Rana: Yikes. Turn: River: Thus Sforos is OUT, Mundle is down to 37k and yesterday's big stack Rana has somewhere around the 130k mark. My, don't I take a flattering photograph. Click to see full-size image. |
