Arizona played local rival Arizona state last night the Sun Devils have a decent team and this could have been labeled the battle of the beanpoles as the wildcats 7 footer Kaleb Tacrzewski took on the sun devils 7 foot 2 inch Jordan Bachynski but it was not sweet music for Bachynski as our Wildcats took an early lead and were just relentless in dispatching the sun devils 91-68.
Arizona won again last night beating USC by 20 they move to 17-0 which is their best start to a season in history bettering the 16-0 from the 1931-32 season.
A good win for our wildcats last night beating the UCLA bruins in LA which is always difficult we withstood a 13-0 run late inthe 2nd half to finally win 79-75
Arizona survived a bit of a scare last night beating Washington 71 - 62 after being down as many as 6 points midway through the 2nd half Nick "bunnies" Johnson led the team with 24 pts.
Some other teams in the top 10 struggled also #2 Syracuse won an ugly low scoring game 49-44 #6 Oklahoma state were beaten by Kansas state and making all the Headlines were the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame who beat #7 Duke in a thriller 79-77.
no problem happy to do updates, in fact they had their first conference game last night at home to Washington state who they held to SEVEN points in the first half i can't recall ever seeing such a low first half total WSU got better in the second half they scored 18 final score was 60-25. i thnk WSU need to change their nickname from cougars to kittens!
Hi Tikay, I have been dithering over whether to put up a college basketball bet again this year and have been checking oddschecker fairly regularly for the price on Wichita state to win the NCAA championships they are holding steady at 80/1 are undefeated so far this year and play in a fairly weak conference and could well do what gonzaga did last year and play their way to a #1 seed in the tourney (they may well remain unbeaten) however i don't actually think they can win it all even though they made the final 4 last year. now i wouldn't put anyone off having a small bet for fun but while perusing the odds i came across one team who i think are massively overpriced..
for this years college basketball bet i give you The Arizona Wlidcats @ 15/1 with William Hill. They are currently ranked #1 in the country this might not last but they shouldn't drop too much, they have started the year with 14 wins and zero losses. thye have good road wins at san diego state & michigan and have beaten Duke at a neutral site. the Pac12 is a little stronger than it has been in recent years with Oregon,Colorado,Ucla and even Utah having pretty good teams but when the year is played out i cant see them being any worse than a 2 or 3 seed in the Ncaa tourney and they could very well get a #1 seed. the teams ahead of them in the betting seem to be based on how good their players will be when they turn pro (Kentucky, Kansas & Duke have outstanding NBA prospects) not on how well they are playing right now. Arizona rank 14th in points per 100 possession with 116.0 and 3rd in defence allowing 89.4 per 100 possessions. in short i think the true price is around 6-8/1 so getting 15/1 represents value (rankings out of 351 teams)
i recommend £40 @ 15/1 Arizona to win NCAA championships with William Hill.
have had several of these from stars, just means they caught someone cheating (teaming up, multi accounting etc) and have redistributed the prize pool accordingly. I have always viewed them as a positive thing means that ftp/stars whoever are doing their job properly. nothing to worry about imo
QT is ahead of his range, he should be shoving 100% but your getting knocked out too often by calling, QTo loses 43% of the time vs any two so 43% of the time you get 3rd place money you should be waiting for better cards or for the shorter stack to get knocked out.
pretty sure that's a really bad call ICM wise others probably more qualified than me but i would say 55+ AT+ and maybe KQ would be close to the right range to call there.
have a tip for top amateur in the us open Micheal Kim i would suggest £20 @ 7/1 (corals, bet 365) he is another golfer from the university of california 3 of them qualified for this years us open he is the best of the 3 having won 4 college tourneys this year his bio: //www.calbears.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/michael_kim_765403.html suggests he is a great putter and incredible with a wedge also is a fairly short straight hitter who was awarded the haskins award for best college golfer and he also tops the golfweek college rankings so cannot understand why he is 5th favourite in the betting should be about 4/1- 9/2 imo.
this is a speech its 24 mins long I don't expect anyone to watch it, i've watched it 3 times and think what he did is incredible and i've cried every time (i cry easy) and fits in perfectly with the faith in humanity/uplifting ethos this thread wishes to highlight. please trust me its worth listening to.
