I don't think that this show has been mentioned before but I have just watched a programme called unbelieveable.  It's based on a true story about a girl who is accused of making up a rape. The 8 part series follows 2 female detectives and how the investigation unfolds. There are no shootouts or car chases, just great scripts and acting. It was really gripping and I watched it all over the weekend , which is something I rarely do. It should be available on Netflix for those that have it.

I think there is a tennis bet to be had at the Rio tournament. The clay season has just begun so there is minimal current form to go on. For that reason the favourite, Thiem, looks too short. We then have a cluster of players like Delbonnis, Cuevas, and Fognini who could win this if things go their way. However, the player I have backed is a young Spaniard called Munar. He is a clay specialist, is in the weaker half of the draw and is 20-1. The price is available with nearly all the big sites.

Today see's a huge rugby union match when Ireland host England. I expect Ireland to win in a low scoring game. I wouldn't put off anyone backing Connor Murray for first try scorer @18 - 1 with sky. However the best bet could be in the man of the match market. In the freezing conditions you have to look at the Irish back row for a bet. I thought C J Stander was quiet by his standards in the autumn matches, he is 16's, and Peter O'Mahoney is priced from 6's to 16's. The person I have backed is Josh van de Flyer @ 20's with Ladbrokes. Nowadays in this market you need some luck that he doesn't get substituted early in the 2nd half but at 20's I'll take that risk.

So if you still stroll past Ladbrokes or someone could oblige you then you know how much I usually suggest.

I think there is a bet to be had tonight in the Aussie tennis 2nd round.

I like the chances of Nishioka to beat Khachanov. They have only met once before, with Khachanov winning 2 - 1. I don't think Khachanov has started the season in his best form and an upset could be on the cards. There is lots of 3 to 1 about and that seems decent to me.

De Minaur has just beaten A Seppi in the final at Sydney  7 - 5   7 - 6.

De Minaur is into the semi final after a 2 sets to love win over J Thomson. The top seep, Tsitipas, suffered defeat so it was a good night for the bet. Our opposition for the semi , Millman or, Simon, are playing in about an hours time.

In the tennis De Minaur is through to the 1/4's after his 2nd straight sets win. He will not have to face Medvedev who withdrew before the tournament began after his exertions of last week.

In the Sydney ATP De Minaur looks like he could have another big week. He is a very young Aussie who came through last season. He finalled this tournament last year as an 18 year old, losing 2-1 to Medvedev. He played well this week, losing to Tsonga in the 1/4's. It is not the strongest looking field, with Tsitipas and Medvedev the likeliest  stumbling blocks. Medvedev is in the same half, but he is currently playing in the final of the Brisbane ATP against Nishikori so he is likely to be tired this week. The 7 to 1 available  looks decent.

Today sees the semi finals of the rugby league challenge cup. For 2 weeks I had been edging towards backing Catalans to beat St Helens, as St Helens have not looked like the free scoring side from the first 5 months of the season. However, Catalans suffered a massive blow this week with the banning of Greg Bird. He is their captain and organises the central defence. I think that James Roby will relish the opportunity to attack them from quick play-the-balls and his odds of 4 's to score a try anytime are too big. Without Bird the chances that we get another example of CESM's has increased exponentially.
