Evening Tighty.

Tomorrow the ATP Eastbourne starts. It's always difficult to find winners on grass because they play so few tournaments on the surface. I don't see Djokovic wanting a long run here as Wimbledon starts the week after, but I will still avoid his half of the draw for my selection.

My selection is Misha Zverev, a player who has blossomed late maybe spurred on by his brother. He has won 4 matches on grass this season and he was very competetive against Federer this week. I think his quarter is weak with only the enigmatic Gael Monfils as a threat. A likely semi final against Gasquet or Isner is winnable and 25-1 is available.

Suggest Misha Zverev £10 e/w @ 25-1 with Paddy Power.

The best rugby league quarter final takes place today when Hull host Castleford. The bet I like in this is Jesse Senne-Lefao to score a try anytime at 5-1 with Ladbrokes and Coral. He plays in the left channel, where Greg Eden has scored 5 hat tricks in the last 6 games, and he could get more freedom with the defence worried about Eden, He is also very strong in  the air, and if they can target him against Albert Kelly then he is the likely winner of that match up.

In the rugby league today anything over 2-1 for Farrell to score a try for Wigan is a decent bet. Currently ladbrokes, coral and pp are all bigger than that price.

In the ATP Ricoh tennis today I would happily take the widely available odds against for Pospisil to beat Dolgopolov. After a barren couple of years there are signs that Pospisil is getting back to a decent level again, and I expect his serve to dominate on grass.

Evening Tighty.

If you have time before your holiday could you put £20 on Wakefield to beat Leeds in Saturdays superleague match. They are 7/4 with hills.

Suggest £20 Wakefield @ 7/4 with Hills or betfair sportsbook.

Evening Tighty.

Could we put some of our Busta winnings on Verdasco to beat Nishikori tomorrow? I used to be a big fan of Nishikori's but he seems to have gone backwards for the last 2 years, maybe injuries have taken their toll. What is obvious though is that he has few big shots to get himself out of trouble, and is lacking the touch. Verdasco's victories over Zverev and Cuevas in this tournament are solid form.

Suggest £15 Verdasco @ 13/8 with PP. Happy to take the 6/4 widely available if the price goes.

Morning Tighty.

In the French tennis today I think the bookies are over estimating Raonic's chances against Carrenno-Busta. Raonic is far better on fast courts and hasn't really beaten anyone of note on clay this year. I think that Carrenno-Busta's wins this season over Fognini, Ferrer, Almagro, Dimitrov and Ramos Vinnolas should make him slight favourite.

Suggest £20 Carreno-Busta @ 6/4 with Hills.

For a rugby league anytime try scorer bet then Murdoch-Masila for Salford at 6/5 is the best bet.

Morning Tighty.

Tonight's superleague has Leeds hosting Leigh. Leigh don't score enough points to make this an interesting fixture, I envisage a Leeds win by 36-10 ish. Our 2 Leeds favourites, Moon and Parcell, are both priced too short in the anytime try scorer markets, but I like their odds in the 1st try scorer market. I wouldn't put anyone backing them with betfred, who offer 2 x the odds if the player scores a 2nd try in the match, but do have slightly lower odds for each player. We can get 12 to 1 on both selections with paddy power which is decent.

Suggest  £5 Moon @ 12-1
             £5 Parcell @ 12-1  Both with PP

So what exactly will Trump have to do to make Britain do the decent thing and cancel his planned state visit. By all means let him come over to talk about things, and see if he can be persuaded to see sense. But the thought of seeing him triumphantly rolling down the Mall in a horse drawn carriage really pisses me off.

Morning Tighty.

A raft of superleague games today. I think there could be an upset on the cards for Warrington when they host Salford today. Warrington were disappointing on Friday against Leeds and rarely threatened. They are going to be without their Australian playmaker, Gidley, and this will necessitate a few positional changes, and quite a bit of disruption. Salford are playing very tough, simple rugby and are proving very hard to score against. I like their chances today.

Suggest £20 Salford @ 6/4 with betfred, ladbrokes, coral.

For an anytime try scorer bet today then Jake Webster @ 6/5 with betfred in the Castleford/ Leigh game.

Lots of superleague tonight.

Castleford host Widnes, and this could get very nasty for Widnes. Already desperately short of players they have to go to the best offensive side I have ever seen. If the 1st half goes Castlefords way, and they lead by 24 points, then I could see them scoring 70+ points. The bet that I recommend is Castleford to win by 51+ with Ladbrokes and Coral @ 9-2. Castleford beat them earlier in the season by 34 points to nil, and they have put 50 points on both Wigan and Leeds in home fixtures.

Suggest £10 Castleford by 51+ @ 9-2 with Corals or Ladbrokes.

For anyone who wants a try scorer bet in the televised Leeds v Warrington match then Daryll Clark at 5-2 is the best bet.

Morning Tighty.

The biggest rivals in super league meet tonight when St Helens host Wigan. It should be a close game so rather than  anytime try scorer I think 1st try scorer is the way to go. After last weekends big win, and home advantage I think St Helens should edge this match. Wigan are still plagued by injuries and have 2 wingers in the centre. This could give an edge to the St Helens centres, who have been scoring tries and making good yards.

Suggest £5 Mark Percival @ 12's with PP, Hills, Lad,Coral

             £5 Ryan Morgan @ 14's PP, Hills,Lads,Coral

There is the equivalent of a bi-election in Montana today. It is a strong Republican state but the latest Polls have it as a flip. Things got even more interesting yesterday after the Republican candidate, Greg Gianforte, was arrested after body slamming a reporter who was asking about the latest CBO report into Trumpcare.

There has been increased talk of impeachment over the Russian investigation. This still seems unlikely, hard to fathom I know. However, with the Republicans controlling the Senate, the House, and the Presidency, and with no sign of any progress with their agenda pressure is mounting. I can see the Republicans putting pressure on Trump to resign on medical grounds. They would get no argument from me if they went for insanity. There is already a religious nut job in place as the VP, who they might see as the man able to make progress getting some of their agenda passed into law. We could then see the fascinating spectacle of the Democrats wanting Trump to remain as president, as that would lessen the chances of  passing anything meaningful.

All eyes on Montana tonight.

I think the Democrats should adopt nationally the slogan that another of their candidates has been campaigning under " Make Trump Furious".
