well whats happened to all the Scots that wanted to visit DTD??
we had a fabulous weekend there i January so when we come back we decided to organise a trip. after receiving some interest we reserved hotel rooms, got a good price a luxury coach & Tikay organised a trophy and my staff have worked very hard organising this event. then Blonde decided to join us for their Blonde Bash which will make this event truly outstanding!!
i can now understand why people dont bother organising things for people these days. it seems apathy rules..
WHAT A LETDOWN!!!!
there are now only 6 of us defiantly going however us 6 that are will have a ball.
i am saddened because the guys at DTD made us so welcome and have such a fantastic venue with no side shows like Black Jack, Roulette or Bandits just pure poker & venues like this deserve our support.
however, those of you that are not going its your misfortune!!
we can still get our 4star hotel rate of £80.00 per twin room, per night inclusive breakfast for any Blondes requiring accommodation. if so please PM me or Maccol.
to the people at DTD all i can say is I'm truly sorry & really disappointed.
however we will still be there!!

a very disillusioned

Thanks Tikay,

I hope Englanders are allowed otherwise I won't be able to go Smiley

Yes of course there, are we have been asked if we can pick some lads up at Newcastle so the bus might not be quite full of Scots, and four lassies who work for us want to come with us to go shopping in Nottingham.

This is going to be great fun I hope, and it will be nice to return to dtd we were made so welcome.

A couple who play on sky have booked to come I hope you will be there it will be good to see you.

Do you think we could get some kind of trophy. that would make it more interesting, let me know your thoughts please.

Cheers

Terry

A Trophy for "The Falkirk Invasion" will be arranged. Something appropriate.........hmm, let's think.

Thanks Tony,

I'm sure you will come up with something elegant, sophisticated and appropriate,
whiskey related maybe I'm thinking,  but Colin says no Irn Bru.  lol

Hi All,

Just a quick update, have been busy doing my VAT this week, but on Monday it's full steam ahead with plane for our trip.

I have been in touch with Simon Trumper, and the weekend is planed for the 8th to 11th may, this is a good weekend for the club, so keep that date in your diary, if you plan on joining us.

I am also looking to see if we can maybe (hopefully get some sponsorship) to either help to wards the costs of travel or prize money.

Any ideas please let me know,

Anyway will keep you all informed as and when.

Thanks for the support.

Hi All,

Have just spent the most fantastic weekend at dtd, and I am going to organise a coach trip weekend from Scotland to DTD.

Will organise Hotel, Coach etc and am going to try to get good price as a block booking, this will be at cost price, and is open to any interested person's who would maybe otherwise not be able to go.

I am thinking about possible date of the 8th to 11th May 2008, but this depends on availability of coaches, hotels and of course dtd.

Please let me know who's interested in this idea.

Be lucky

I would just like to add a suggestion to all you lads, once the restaurant is open, take your wives and girlfriends for a meal and a sng, if they are a bit wary of your poker addiction it's the perfect place to get them hooked.#

be lucky

hi all,

Well  I know I'm not the first to visit this amazing place, and it definitely won't be the last visit we make.

I decided to treat Colin my husband to a special weekend away for his Christmas present, so I booked us into the Crown Plaza hotel in Nottingham and bought him into a weekend of tournaments at DTD, myself as well of course. Wink Wink

It was the best decision I could have made for a fabulous weekend.

The whole experience was amazing, where to start is the problem, I contacted dtd before we went, and Tikay as I was unsure how to organise all this before we left, without Colin being aware of what was happening, the help and assistance I received was first class. from everyone concerned.

We arrived at DTD and the venue is Poker heaven,  everything you want from an exceptional weekend of poker was available.

The venue is amazing, the staff are efficient polite and very friendly, and the management went out of their way to make this weekend special for us. They even arranged an a la carte meal for us from the restaurant, which is not yet open and the food was excellent. The bar meals are also very good quality well presented and reasonable priced.

So girls if you want to spoil spouses and yourselves, I cannot reccomend this oasis for poker players higher.

I would like to thank Tikay, Simon Trumper, Simon Nowab, Rob Yong, Darren and all the staff for a truly memorable weekend.

the company is called buy a gift all one word it has all sorts of amazing stuff, if you need it in a hurry you can phone them, pay buy credit card and they will deliver within 48 hours, the other alternative is good old inta flora they have some lovely gifts as well as flowers this year.
