Thanks gents, some ride that.
The bets were placed in the summer of 2020, just after he'd won the L1 golden boot for Posh. He was 24 at the time and been pushing for a move to Barnsley, who came in for him before Brentford put in a suitable bid. Fine lines and all that. The choice of two small clubs and he just happened to land in the right place.
I'd given up tbh. The Nations League games last year had looked his best chance, but he was brought into the squad and left on the bench. He was never going to the World Cup after that. Then the betting scandal broke and that looked like the end. Nice to run good.
"The choice of two small clubs" Huh? I concur! Slanderous description of my old local club.

Grealish's miss to finish the game and Shaw's red killed his chances in Italy. Calmer waters tomorrow, though, and this always felt like his best chance.
Surely this time...
Just have to swerve the Kendall bok! As Sir Rod famously warbled, Tonight's the night It's gonna be alrightFingers crossed!

I do indeed. Two in fact, one at 50s one at 66-1. Be a nice one to get home. If it's ever happening it'll be this month.
There it is, 6 months ago Chomps was asked if he'd had a bet on Ivan Toney playing for England. Nervous night for the Big Fella. Proper doomed with the bok in At least he has an interest in England matches for the rest of the year. Congrats to Dazzler, too!

Can we all funk for Ivan Toney to get on tonight, even if it's only as a late sub?
An elderly blonde stands to win a goodly amount if Toney plays for England before the end of 2023. The bet was placed in Toney's Posh days, and it's been a sweat & a half, what with all the talk of a betting ban etc.
Get them weighed in, Ivan!

always each way and peanut stakes, ended 4 days with a profit of £22 quid , thought we were getting a winner in the very last race..
enjoyed the king prawn bhuna , pilau rice and stuffed paratha sponsored by marky147
see you next year
Just watched it now, and a good sweat until the last 50 yards. Haha, good stuff. I have just ordered one myself, and intend to do the same. Only 11 months until the preview circuit starts heating up again

I must say that for someone not as excited as usual on the eve of this year's festival I loved every minute and watched every race live.
I think it has to go down as a vintage edition.
Likewise, and haven't been as invested since I stopped betting antepost after covid. Was an amazing week, and that Tuesday was just superb. Don't have the time to get involved like I used to, but am definitely looking forward to 2024 now! How was the UFC thingie? Was an awesome night, and the roof almost came off when Leon retained his title, despite losing a point in the 3rd round. Didn't enjoy the 90minutes to get out afterwards, which was a consequence of having vip parking right at the entrance, rather than using the normal carpark at the to, and the fact there are loads of roadworks around it, too. Think I'll probably stay Essex side of London next time, and just suffer the longer drive back on the Sunday.

way too modest one of the all time cheltenham tipping efforts in history. If anyone randomly had a 20p combo lucky 63 today across your picks its happy days! Hardly like you had 4 in each race either!
Would have prob had to be a 2pence one, as it would be permed right up and I'm a peasant nowadays. I had one placed horse in he first 14 races, so that has to go down as one of the worst efforts
