Kevin O'Leary's stack continues to grow larger.... ....that is till he doubles up Paul Jackson to 35,000 or so. Paul's Q8 spiking an 8 on the turn versus Kevin's AQ on a Q high flop. Surinder is very short but wins two pots with raises preflop uncontested to add 4k to his stack of 7k. I think Paul actually had Q9 on a Q 9 x flop to double vs Kevin's AQ. Apologies for that! No wonder he hasn't replied to the text calling him a fish. Mind you Q9 preflop, actionjack's loosening the top button now...

you hear the story of the guy yesterday down to one 100 chip. he threw it in, got in a four-way pot. The flop was K hi and a guy bet out with KK, took the side pot and muked his cards, not realising there was 400 on the side. As the fella mucked, the guy picked up the 400 side pot and was last reported as having 30k!

I'm looking forward to playing at DTD because as a poker player I want to ply my trade in the best possible surroundings, run by poker players for poker players. I have no interest in slots or table games and don't understand why poker players are currently forced to put up with them any more than a golfer shoud have to walk past them on the way to the first tee as he heads off to work. I have no interest in coming to Nottingham to play in any of the casinos objecting to this license, I never have and never will, but I will be coming to play at DTD regulary if and when it opens. The people behind this venture are good honest hard working people bringing employment and world class facilities to a place many of us have never and will never go to if DTD are unsuccessful.

what difference does it make who the best female player is any more than who the best northern player, 20-something player, one-legged player or anything else, that's the beauty of poker, we all play on the same field. Everyone should be treated the same. Having said that, which two would you most like to see topless mud wrestle for a title?

You wait all year for the biggest tourney, you stick in and grind it out without any cards ad missing sets with small pairs atleast 20 times, every pot you win is stolen (i only showed down one hand), while one of the game's greatest, Allen Cunnigham is playing as smoothly as a Rolls Royce one to your right, accumulating a double average stack with consumate ease....then you get a chance to play with the big boys and some dumbass Yanky Doodler who wathces too much TV does this. Serial raiser kid makes it 1200 from early pos, blinds 200 400 with 50 so costing 1100 a round. I look down at in the cutoff and rr to 3600. I've rr him twice before in position and he's folded (with AQ sooooted and AK as it goes), but this time he makes it 8600. I immediately think fol, but then look at him, the previous actions (this is the second straight hand he made it 1200) and he looks uncomfortable. I'm pretty good at heads up and my read is he's not that strong. I decide, after 90 seconds or so, to call and see a flop with no ace please, the call leaving me 11k back, enough to fold if I don't like the flop. The flop comes and he immediately bets 6000. It's all or nothing for me so I go into the tank After three minutes and with a crowd gathering I move all in and he calls. I flip my , he flips...... . Turn river the inevitable . 45k pot, average was around 30 and he had around 30 at the start of the hand. Cunningham turned ome and said great call, at least that's something. God bless America

GL Ben and all the betfair team. The Badbeat team are also starting today:
Me T38 seat 2, John Conroy and John T.
best of luck to all playing today.
We're going to need a surname for John T I'm afraid in order to follow his progress. I reckon that must be John Tabatai, KunkuWap online, a legend in his own underpants. Tell him if h doesn't make day two I'm gonna come and give him a serious talking to. Updates on JP, Soxy (Chris Socrati) and Squelch (Richard Redmond) if poss chaps. Good luck to the birthday girl too

Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: blonde & Patrick Murray - a Clarification

Well i've just caught up on this thread and there's many a point to be made, altho many have been already. I had to google Patrick's name to find out who he was, and when I did I realised he's the guy from one of my fave shows who I met in Vegas and seemed quite an affable chap.
But, I'm afraid, even giving him the benefit of the doubt he's very wrong here. The main point - Dana'a point being slanderous - is absolute nonsense (to be polite), and having been a journalist for 10 yrs and managed to avoid any court cases having studied hard and passed my journalism law exams, I think we all know if patrick really thinks he's been slandered no-one at blonde would have any qualms about a court case.
Secondly, I don't know Dana at all, I don't think I've ever met her (I may be wrong), I'd say I know each of the other updaters better. They all have their own style, wit, wisdom, pros, cons, personalities and writing abilities. I find Dana's updates fun, amusing, sarcastic and challenging, and the question about sponsored shirt wearing is just an example of the fun, sideways look at things she always brings.
Thirdly, the answer about the shirts. As Ariston and others said, most of the time you get a load of shirts that you're never lucky enough to get to open. In Barcelona at the world head up recently tho, I only took three ladbrokes shirts with me (surely even that is being optimistic - Roy the Boy told me it was lol). Being lucky enough to make the final, which comes on day seven, meant I was in trouble! When I made the last 8 I got back to the hotel (Barcelona Princess, one of the best I've ever stayed in) at 4am and phoned the night porter and asked if it was possible to get some laundry done by 3pm that day. He told me to call back at 7 when house keeping turned up. I said I didn't want to get up at 7 and could I hang it outside the door and him leave a message. I was woken up at 1pm with a knock on the door to find two lovely pristine laddies shirts waiting for me!! That's service!! Didn't want to tempt fate so repeated the whole thing when I made the final too!!
Lastly I just want to say there's nothing in Dana's post, she was doing her job, and in the usual fine style she always does. Make sure you don't change that Dana, as I said you bring something unique as an updater and it's very much appreciated and enjoyed by us readers. I hope Patrick understands that and that will be the end of the matter (from both sides). Blonde, as Dennis said, is a fine site with a lovely community spirit and the fun injected by the updaters makes it what it is.
PS never interrupt two old codgers when they've just poured themselves a cuppa

is dan carter still in? if so how many chips he got? any updates appreciated. ta muchly.
Other counts I happened to notice include Paul Jackson on around 18k, and Pippa Flanders on just 8k - eek. Paul is only happy when he has 60-80% of the average stack, any more he gets out of his comfort zone. Wish him luck from me please, and also Tim Blake...and ask wtf was he doing in that hand with shaf with a poxy straight draw! Oy you, who pressed your button? Shouldn't you be swimming in your money bank? Despite your best efforts putting me off on msn managed to win the laddies 100 rebuy and another wsop seat on stars...in fact only one i didn't win was mansion, where i had 10% with flushy and busted after 5 mins...god he runs bad
