Have to agree, the blinds seemed to make this tourney a joke, and while it's very easy to say call the clock, you would have to do it 6 or 7 times in one hand sometimes. With around 40k and the blinds at 2 4k and 55 left on Saturday I knew I had to get busy very soon, but with 25 minutes of that level left I thought I had a little time. However, we played 3 hands in that last 25 minutes, one of which took more than 15 minutes as the two chipleaders on my table went at it, every decision taking around 2 minutes for each. That left me with 38k and blinds now at 3 and 6k with 600 ante and in the big blind next hand after the break...now with no play and no time to find a hand. After playing for 15 or so hours I didn't feel that satisified at that...and that was 4 off the bubble. After those 7 or 8 hands in an hour those lucky enough to cash had no play at all, I hope this is addressed before Monte Carlo. Great job by the updaters as ever, and my Ladbrokes teammate Andreas Hoivold, one of the nicest guys I've played with....good to see he took my advice on board

Helmuth is a legend, 5 out of 10, maaaaaaan he's amazing at this, can see why the presenter got so excited. I'd have gone for five trues followed by five falses, would that be any worse? Also, a bloke with a Scottish accent (slight, but it's there) wearing a pink turban trying to persuade you he's not from Scotland and pink is not his favourite colour is never gonna work.
Can just imagine Helmuth's reaction when he sees he was not given the point for 'I've never lost a game of heads-up' which Hardeep claims is true....which followed directly from him doing his money to both Steve Lipscomb and Daniel Negreanu...maybe these were 'one on one' games?

did eyeeeeeeeeewan jones make the tourney , if he did tell him i missed my manchester flight and its all his fault ........
was that a no or yes richard. ty He's not here Nick. ty m8 he was flyin to stanstead , but it was a late finish , i have a vision of him still in bed in copenhagen lol I nearly missed my flight too Nick, I'm blaming putting Kev O'Connell in charge of pouring the free drinks! Eye-wan said he drove passed Luton and had to stop himself from taking the turn off, after his beat in Copenhagen a few days off I reckon. Good job fellas, wish JP, Nick Persaud and Irish Dennis well, how's that for a 1-2-3.

Nick Slade bought me and Iwan lunch yesterday as a good luck for our day ones.....having hit that river king to stay in v the chip leader's QQ, I think Nick may be forced to carry on that tradition at each and every tournament from now on......the crosses we have to bear.
Good luck to Iwan and Nick, and Roy the Boy, looking in supreme form, which considering the amount he sunk last night in the casino bar (after the hotel bar had closed) is an awesome performance.
PS Excellent stuff Jen and Snoops, undoubtedly THE best updating team at the EPT yet again.

well played Milesy, top performance, shame u missed that final table but well done mate.
Read the points on the structure with interest, I think Tikay is right, they did as well as possible, but I thought it thought it took something away from an excellent tourney. Maybe another potential solution could be playing regional first days, with one in the north, one south, and then the day two players coming together somewhere more central like lovely walsall the following weekend or something. Something needs to be done....
