Hi Swooshers, what's our position on rookie of the year in the NBA? This trade moving the number one pick Andrew Wiggins is going through, I think it makes him huge now at six to one.

I know I reccy'd a bet on Nerlens Noel, and I've put a lump on him myself, but I think this trade is a market changer and the bookies haven't responded (it hasn't happened and can't til 23rd Aug but all the good journos and sites are reporting it as a done deal today). Rather than watch our money on Noel disappear and say how ul we are, think we have the chance to get on Wiggins for a bigger bet and turn it round.

We also have a small cover bet on Jabari Parker, I think that's fine, we wouldn't wanna get caught if he takes off, but really Wiggins is now the outstanding value. Think Argueboy will agree, and also might be able to help construct a nice shape to our book where our big winner is now Wiggins, and Noel and Parker winning wouldn't be a disaster either

I'm with arbboy on the Rooney top PL scorer bet. Think 14-1 each-way, quarter four places is a cracker.

Fancy we can flick in a chunk on this one.
How big does your bet have to be before 12/1 with £2 free bets every goal becomes better or as good? Can't get my brain to work it out

I'm interested in Papis Cisse to be top Newcastle scorer next season. He's due back from injury September at the latest, have been some stories that he'll be fit for the start of the season, tho he's not been seen in preseason so imagine that won't happen. He'll miss a few games.

Looking at the summer signings, Newcastle have signed a lot of support striker types, without any out and out goalscorer. Cisse was poor last season, never got a long run in the side and was a sub for a lot of it. He does score goals in clutches tho, and as his season showed before that, he's quality on his day.

I'd expect the top scorer to only get around 12 next season. What price would u make Cisse without looking?

(Newcastle's top two scorers from last year, Cabaye and Remy, have gone. Riviere got 14 in 44 for Monaco last season, got 9 in 44 and 17 in 73 for his previous clubs. De Jong got 57 in 168 for Ajax,  9 in 28 last year. Ayoze got 17 in 50 for Tenerife, he's one for the future. Ferreyra has never been a first choice, got  in 13 for Shakhtar, could be thrown in but hopefully not relying on him. Remy Cabella got 14 in 37 from midfield for Montpellier.)

10/1?

About this, maybe 8/1, but is he going to stay the season? Will he be in the African Cup of Nations?

Riviera first choice, I assume?

Difficult to tell who is first choice. He's injured so pretty impossible for him to be sold in this transfer window. Defo a danger in Jan but if he's scoring I can't see him going. If he's not the bet's dead anyways. There is a danger of African Cup of Nations, tho that doesn't normally cost too many games if and when.

You can have 14/1 with B355, the red shouty man has a very generous 5/1 quote. I think a proper price is somehwere in betweem, same as u guys

Anyone know why Nairo Quintana is currently 200/1 at Bet364+1 to win the Vuelta? Palp? If he's pulled out, Aru becomes a good each-way bet.
Tis the other Quintana on my screen, Dayer? Sure u know him better than me. Your boy is odds on

That was extremely disappointing

Worcestershire threw in a stinker with the bat, and did for our T20 bet and the sixes bet

Very frustrating, if they perform to "par" all is fine and dandy, as they win they game too
Good bet at 40s tho tighty, would like to have that bet every day

Seems Wiggins is fo sho going to the T-Wolves. I saw a post about him signing with the Cavs and maybe that being a sign he's staying while I was away but as whoever replied said, that was always gonna happen as him having a salary makes the move work better salary cap wise, easier to balance the books. He can't be traded til Aug 23rd, but I just can't see how he won't be rookie of the year playing for that shower of shite. I've got big (for me) bets on Nerlens Noel, not sure what to do, just cover my Noel bets with Wiggins or completely reverse and try and get with Wiggins big? Any thoughts Argueboy n others?

Cricket T20 bet

A while ago Dubai suggested getting on a batsman that would bat higher up the order than predicted by the bookies.....

http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=54010.0

well this time, its same batsman, different team!

Maxwell is injured for Hampshire for Sundays quarter final. So the batting order MAY see Wheater bat 4 IMHO. He batted 3 on Thursday with no Maxwell, although this was a 50 over match not T20.

He's as low as 12/1 for top batsman...but 50/1 with eight88,  32reed, uni bet. This is definitely value.

Also Dawson is as low as 12/1 top bat with some..........but as high as 125/1 with Paddies ! and 100/1 with eight88.  Unlikely to bat lower than 7, this is also great value.

Love a lively outside me. Charrrrge!

Heard the local Stokie reporter on Talk Sport last night, calling in from deppest Bavaria where the mighty Potters are on tour. Says they look good in training but getting battered in the games....Stoke for the drop imo, bring back Pulis, Bojan soft as shite etc

Morning Mr T.

The big tennis tournament this week is in Washington USA. I was going to tip Dimitrov but he has pulled out. The top half of the draw is particularly weak. There are question marks over Nishikori's fitness and Berdych is towards the top of my not to be trusted list, so I am going to go for Gasquet. I like the idea of splitting the stakes this week so from the other half of the draw the most reliable choice could be Isner, although I would have preferred it if he had not won last weeks tournament.

Suggest £10 win  Gasquet @ 16-1 with Ladbrokes
             £10 win Isner @ 9-1 with Ladbrokes.

Thank you Hector.

Ishner slightly better at 11.0 on Betfair.
Gasquet 20s at tote/baldy too. Gl us

Mardy spins on the first lap.
Don't really watch much F1 but decided to watch the highlights of this after reading what a good race it was. Don't find Lewis mardy at all, quite liked his interview afterwards and the honesty of his answers. Did u think Alonso got an advantage by missing that corner? Yes, can't veleive he got away with it etc. Going on about it being his best drive and how proud he was of the hard work.

Compare that with Stevie Gerrard and his his pals, well ya know, we've trained hard and there's no easy games ya know at the end of the day blah blah, Lewis gives a much more honest and frank interview. I like him...and I've got a bet on him, so no more Mardy!
