What would be a standard ruling for a duplicate card ?

e.g all in pot hu board runs out  xxx

I heard of this once before.  One table had 53 cards somehow, other table had 51.  Tournament was cancelled and restarted.

agree 100% with ohdear's comments about diaries

Yup so do I.

I read the vast majority of the diaries on here and enjoy them a lot, but they do have quite big side effects for the forum as a whole imo. Along with a very obvious disadvantages for newbies trying to get into the forum, you get situations where a great story/discussion will breakout in one of the diaries that is only accessible if you are a reader of that diary whereas in the past that would have happened in a thread of its own not on page 157 of a diary.

+1

I do not read diaries, because they often turn out something different from poker, more like a thread for 5 to 10 mates to have a bit of banter, not necessarily poker all the time.

I have to search the rail forum for non-diary stuff, and then get annoyed at how much more dificult it is these days with the diaries, so do not bother looking any more.  I dont have a problem with the people doing their diaries, I just think that things will be better in their own location.

The arguement that the numbers are up in comparison to 2 years ago does not mean they would not be higher had the forum been a more tidy place to easier read poker related stuff in the right poker related section.  And yes, various diaries transcend into may subject areas which sometimes would be better discussed having their own seperate threads rather than in the diary only being discussed between the diary readers.

I know we have had the very same discussion before and the diaries stayed where they are now, but I always felt that decision was made without explanation or good reason when so many people put up a good case for them to be in a seperate area..

he makes profit from tennis

he loses in horses football roulette black jack high card and flips

ppl are staking him for tennis......

So, if you know that he is good at Tennis, and shit at other stuff, why doesn't HE know that and make a decent profit and JUST do tennis?

R u real?

Funnily enough, I was being quite serious.!  Someone else just posted a much better post than mine but questioning the same thing. Its no skin off my nose, but I find it quite odd that stakers are prepared to stake out of money degen gamblers.!

I cant get to grips with why people stake other people...  For me, I would stake a 'player' in whatever sport if that player was successful over time.  I am never gonna stake someone who constantly loses.  Reading this thread, it appears this guy is not doing too well at all as he appears to be in debt a lot.  So, if he cant make his own bets pay his way out of debt, why is he gonna be able to make investors money pay a profit?

Wow, never seen that picture before.  Instantly knew the stadium because of the narrowing main stand and the church in the corner of the pitch..!!

Did you know, this is the first ever purpose-built football stadium in 1894 when they gave up playing at Anfield because of a rent dispute..!!

Just chatting to Rick Gilby about the pace of the game so far - mental seems to be the order of the day. No one sitting back waiting for hands, one guy on his table flatting a raise with 10J, flop 1010 - despite the blinds being 25/50 he managed to get a 6k pot out of it.

Three players out, first one out was horrendous. Forththistle's PV has crashed but he has all the details:

Steven Higton with

Dan Corbett with

Flop As

Ste has flopped the nuts with royal flush draw but Dan has two pair.

Turn

Full house for Dan, it all goes in and Ste tables his Royal Flush. Dan out.

Is that  supposed to be a  ?

This reminded me of something that happened to my dad... LOL...

He was a tanker driver before retiring, and he was delivering to a home with a Gas Oil tank at the rear.  Gas Oil is diesel but different colour.  He took his long pipe from his truck to the tank in rear garden and connected it to the tank, switched on and stayed around back waiting for the tank to fill up.  Waiting and waiting and waiting.  Then realised the tank was not getting any fuller.   He could hear his truck PTO working from the rear garden, so he went out to his truck, and when he got there the 4 inch pipe had blown off the truck and was emptying the truck at a rapid rate onto the road.  He lost about half his load before he could get the pump turned off, which equates to over 20 tonne..

To make it worse, the house was at the top of a large hill on a main road, and the gas oil covered the full width of the road and went all the way to the bottom of the hill and further.!!  Most of the gas oil missed the grids because it was mostly running down the centre of the road.

The road got closed by the police for 3-4 days while the fire brigade cleaned it all..!!  I caused a massive problem in the area...

OOPS..!!  LOL

On a side note but not totally unrelated because it's more reality telly rubbish..........

I was watching that new Katie Price drivel this afternoon when I spotted Jay McKray from this year's Big Brother is one of the contestants on her show too!!! "Well, WTF is going on?" says I to meself as I google for answers.  How can he be in her final 12 when he's sat in Big Brother?  Well, the show was pre-recorded obv, but still.

Turns out I'm not seeing things and it is in fact him.  Also his real name isn't even Jay.  And I sat through the entire hour of the show hoping for some clue as to what he was doing on it, apart from the obvious.  Even after the google fest I'm still low on answers.  Robbed on so many levels for my Saturday. Sigh.

Final 12 is not final 12 any more... Its Final 11... He has been booted out of KP show.. Wonder why...
