Going to the stadium on the day of an incident makes us an expert? Or chatting to someone who went? "I went (or knew someone who did) so I know its a fact" is what's being stated. By two liked and respected people.
I didn't go, but I'd encourage readers to follow the facts (and in the reports more recently coming out, they are facts) that the police and their cover up is the issue, the major issue and the only issue here. Being sat at the other end having been asked for spares by scousers who've had a few apparently means more to some.
If the posters in question can't see that their posts are insulting to families whove spent the best part of 3 decades showing that the blame does not sit with the fans, then I am shocked. I too think there are some lets downs ITT.
Giving an view, however politely and sincerely, that is clearly going to insult people is just bad form imo.
Oh and I've gotta stay true to myself by posting this, or somink.

Got to say I think Milibland looked pretty far above the rest tonight. Shamron has definitely missed a trick here. Even the SNP embarrased themselves with that begging for a deal.
I think we may just get the goofiest PM we've ever had. FOLs.

Not got a lot of sympathy for Liverpool if he stiffs them. They nicked him from QPR in the first place so what goes around comes around.
This is the reality of scouting and recruiting young players - it's not 1985. By this definition every club everywhere that has professional players has nicked someone.

Injury recovery in football is 100% aided by illegal drugs in 9/10 top clubs. I have almost no doubt.
With athletics a quick look at Wikipedia will show stand out drug takers a mile off when you see world record progressions, ages of achievement and the nations they were beating who were almost openly using steroids themselves (USSR GDR etc).
Ironically I think Usain Bolt might just be legal. I highly doubt 2 or 3 of the top tennis players are in a far more "respectable" sport.

So, if you honestly coming 7th is better than 5th, why don't teams turn down the chance to play in the Europa League?
While I'm at it, why don't the managers who moan about too much football, turn down the chance to play in the League Cup or even the FA Cup?
It's a good question and one I think that may well come into consideration soon.

these days with chelsea and man c throwing middle eastern and russian multi millions at winning the league teams a little below that such as liverpool, arsenal etc (even with funding from henry, kroenke etc, they are not going to spend on the level of abramovich and qatar) should priortise winning fa cup, league cup and europa cup
finishing 3rd in the premier league is the equivalent of winning it 15 years ago before the whale owners arrived
don't think fans have ever adjusted to this properly
liverpool should prioritise the euorpa, and getting into it. talk of preferring to finish7th is ridiculous
Ultimately it's really bad for business and therefore the development of a squad.

One of the biggest fallacies that there is no depth in the other leagues
Just because bayern are brilliant does not mean the rest of the league are hopeless. Wolfsburg for example are showing there level in the Europe league.
The rubbish sides in the premiership (and there are plenty) may well give there all in every game were as in Spain for example sides in a relegation fight often play weakened sides against the big two/three.
That does not make a league better more competitive In every game maybe. You could argue that giving your all and playing your best players away to Chelsea and still losing is not the best way to prepare for a six pointer three days later.
Agree with this. Couldn't imagine Stoke for example finishing 8th in Germany or Spain as a matter of course. People talk like mid table sides in the EPL would just auto finish top 6 in other major leagues. Agree and would go further. Mid table teams in other leagues would beat ours over large samples. The whole depth argument doesn't wash. English football simply has inferior players then it did in the naughties when Henry, Ronaldo, Alonso, Tevez, Drogba, Makalele, Vidic etc played here.
