Lovrely Post, Holdy, lovely.
I had quite forgotten about erasers. In those days we called them "rubbers" of course, then the hackneyed so-called comedians who love whoopee cushions & the like used the double entendre thing, so they became erasers.
I never realised folks still enjoyed stationery shops, though it used to be the thing to do on a Saturday, before the internet arrived.
My shop fad is bookshops, I sometimes go to Charing Cross Road & spend the entire day just perusing & buying books. In 2nd hand bookshops, there is ann evocative musty smell, which is lovely.
How are you, anyway, & your Little Big Man? How old is he now? Into girls yet? You must be as proud as punch of him.
Good to see you Next Door from time to time, too. Weird how we often seem to be on the same table!
I'm doing a sort of Mini-Bankroll challenge thing there, not the usual dick-waving thing, just "Brand Message" sort of thing. I Update progress daily. Only small money, but immensely satisfying. Taken me a month to make £100 profit, lol, but it relaxes me tremendously, I can shut the world off when playing small-ball poker.
You doing Vegas any time soon?
Ah yes Bookshops as well ... that musty smell (only ever found in old books shops and Grandma's houses
I'm re-thinking our coffee meet-up destination now.
Taz is 12 now, going on 40. His latest hobby is the desire to build his own gaming PC so he is currently trawling the net every night looking for the best but cheapest parts to start saving for. He has also joined debating club at school ... I'm screwed basically, everything at home will now be debatable ... I will need a hotline to Mr Andrew T for back-up here. Girls do not figure for him yet ... although I don't think it will be long because his hair is becoming a more and more important aspect of his morning routine ;-)
I'm enjoying playing next door again, it's been a long while since I was over there and yes I did chuckle the last three times I jumped into the HiLo DYM SNGs to see you sitting there
Came fourth in the Omaha UKOPS and Ryan logged on to rail for a bit .... unfortunately I became too attached to my hand at a crucial stage when my whole gut was screaming at me to fold ... was fun though.
