Congrats.  At least you will be able to get down on the floor to play with them.  That is the only draw back when you are older!

Well done Dunk.

I am out to get Geo next week as I have helped him out too much in last 2 weeks by giving him my chips!

Alexandra made something of that song, very difficult.

Neither Eoghan, nor JLS had strong enough voices to sing with their stars, whereas Alexandra was brilliant with Byonce. Alexandra deserves to win but I think the other two acts will get the kids votes.

Well done, you did that really quickly. I like the new flooring.

I have just had my bathroom re-furbished, just because we needed a new toilet seat.  Its a long story but we are without flooring at the moment as the special non-slip I want is out of stock.

However, Claw you remind me of myself when younger, I used to do everything, even put floorboards down in a cupboard that used to be a coal cupboard.  That is when hubby was away as he thought no one could do a job as good as him lol.

Oh to be young again, I used to clean the house thoroughly in a day.  Now have to do housework for ten minutes then have a sit down and play poker in between. For the last 3 days I have been sorting out cupboards and still not finished! I play more poker nowadays than doing jobs round the house.

Oh to be young - make the most of it while you can . age creeps up too quickly.      (forgive me for using TK's smiley but I am older than him)

Sad to see Ruth go she was a fighter.  As to Britney, I couldn't even see her as hubby was standing right in front of the telly (he is coming up to 80 at Christmas and has Glaucoma and can hardly see) he saw her though. I said, "do you like Britney then" he said "Britney who but that girl looks good"

The programme is all about XFactor and Alexandra has got it!  She was excellent tonight!

Most of those who got through to Xfactor shows are forgotten but I feel sure we will hear more of Laura White, that was the biggest shock for me this year when she went out.

As a mere novice (excuse me using Mere's handle), I wonder if anyone who has received their HBOS voting papers can advise me.  What advice would you give on for or against the Scheme in laymen's terms and is anyone voting.

I have had shares in a few main company's for many years but completely ignorant on the complexities of takeovers, I just look forward to my dividends.

and completely unnecessary imho.

i fail to see what was wrong with the business. i think these traders who "short" the price have got a lot to answer for. and who is to say they wont turn their guns on LTSB/HBOS next ?

it is my view that a few, well placed individuals are getting obscenely rich on the back of this so called credit crunch, and taking advantage of the lack of confidence to drive the prices down. Since time began news of banks failing has been the greatest self fulfilling prophecy ever.

completely agree
