Does that stand for "welcome to the forum"?!

Think my 3hrs sleep aided to me not conveying the message I wanted.

Basically. The tourney was set. Dont be changing it.
Or is my opinion not allowed?!

Lol so is a min cash still €75 if only two fiddy make day2?!
138  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Latest News on: August 16, 2011, 01:27:24 AM
As posted in other thread
If there is an overlay, will the min cash stay at €75 or, as an eg, you only have 250 runners, would all cash brackets just double?? I think the second option would keep the majority of your recreational qualifiers happy, as the 1st prize is still huge compared to buyin.  Think using the overlay to add to a top heavy payout structure, may be more inviting for the "pros" but not your Cx base overall

Intrigued

Simon:
If you have 250 runners (as an eg)
Will nim cash remain at €75....or as its half the feild missing, would it be right to assume that all payouts would just double....ie min cash = 150€ and so on.......

Anyways my views on the event

I'm kinda torn here tbh

I only took 2 attempts and qualified for an €120 outlay so obv chuffed at that

Would i have even bothered playing Day 1s if they were all rebuys? Prob not as my roll doesn't allow me to flutter this sort of money away HOWEVER big the guarantee

Adding all these extra day 1s is understandable, but i suppose i am a little perturbed as i bought in on the 2nd day of qualifiers as i knew what i was entering. However i thought from the get-go that it would struggle to get to its guarantee and i was right, kinda why i entered tbh.

Now, sat in Day 2 (altho bloody online and live accounts are knackered so I'm not listed ....oops) i am found that the overlay i predicted (and as a greedy person, entered for) could very well not be there....so i suppose i can be a little miffed.

I dont want DTD to take a hit, as it does provide things that we dont have else where HOWEVER adding all of these extra days in desperation is kinda frustration for those that qualified early to the original format.
When I'm in DTD this weekend, if i bluff allin and get looked up can i actually say "well Ive changed my mind as its costing me money? ill take my chips back on fold instead!"....Obv not, but its kinda what they are doing.

By Guaranteeing a PrizePool, and setting out a format for the tournament, sadly you have to "live by the sword, die by the sword" No? I WOULD like to see, however, if the numbers are 250 or less for them to give something back to the players that have supported the event and maybe increase starting stack, or blind levels....i mean they have changed the goalposts for their benefit, so surely then they can change them for OUR benefit too.

All that said, i think Fezio sums it up...the reasons the #'s are down is that people aren't willing to keep re-entering, and have given up - adding extra day 1s isn't gonna increase the day 2 runners by a lot as people aren't gonna stump more €€€ up.  Think this can be seen with the on line flights getting 20-30 runners....only gonna add ~30ish players

I like the "funky" format, especially the money bubble dynamic kickin in so early on in Day 2,  but think they must have forcast a large %% of recreational players being in the 5000 runners, whereas the €60 buyin only allows them to have 1...2....maybe 3 attempts with all the other events going on.......I know a few people choosing Goliath over this, as they are guaranteed to be in the running, so to speak, for £120 instead of ploughing through the Qualification.

Good idea with a diff format, but it has back fired......Pick yourselves up, Dust yourselves down and think of a new way forward
