I haven't played much recently, but i thought i would have a go anyway. I would say that, looking at the stack sizes of yourself and villian, everything points to villian having a much stronger opening range. he probably knows that he can't fold if the big blind shoves and is more likely raising a strong hand for value, rather than shoving. Dominating aces are a posssibility in villian's range, so i dont believe that your hand plays particularly well in this spot. I think that it would be better to fold here and try and get your chips in with some fold equity.

I think that the fact that the flop has a flush draw on it seriously devalues the strength of your draw. You are behind to literally any pair and the flop could well have hit pairs that villian would be more likely to set mine with (rather than 3-bet)-especially given that he has just joined the table, so prob assumes that your early position raise is quite likely to be with a strong hand. I would call the flop raise, then check/fold the turn if i miss the straight draw and check/raise the turn if i hit the straight (without another heart). I would not be at all suprised to find that you are up against a flopped set here, so i would definitely proceed with caution.

I'm really enjoying your blog, as i have been from the start. I'm sure that many others are too. As far as negative criticism, digs, whatever you want to call it. You will get that occasionally, from some quarters, on an open forum, as sure as night follows day. I guess that you are just going to have to deal with it, the same as you have to deal with poker tilt. You need to be strong and rise above it. As for poker hands, tournament reports etc. As far as i'm concerned, you can, and should, do what the hell you like. You dont have to give any info whatsoever about any tournament that you play in. The fact that you do, is appreciated by the people who are genuinely interested in taking a look and seeing how your poker career is progressing. So keep up the good work, and dont let the small minority of people, that have nothing positive to offer, affect your attitude. GL.

I will go for a calling range of JJ+, AQ+ I think that, quite often, with QQ+ villian would just flat to either get squeezed or play in position against an opponent that is possibly steaming a little from previous. I do think that AQ is a very tough call, but, as stated above, i think that villian's likely range is weighted more towards pairs that AQ is in decent shape against, as well as AJ+

QQ+, AK for me. The problem i see with JJ is that you are never going to get called by worse. You will either win a ~10bb pot without showdown, or get to showdown either crushed or flipping with AK. On top of that there is a chance of players still to act having a hand that crushes you.
