Gutshot

I LOVED the Gutshot!...used to play there while doing a PGCE in London then continued to play there when I returned to Brum (Train down, check in to hotel, hit the bars/clubs, head to Gutshot and play all night then checkout hotel without having slept there...).

Enjoyed meeting Tikay and a bunch of other faces while playing one of the side events in the 2005 London Masters (won by Ian Oldershaw). Probably one of my luckiest venues playing cash.

Pity Rooney isn't allowed to run the individual 400m with a baton in his hand (more than a touch of Phil Brown about him!).

Is it me? I just don't find Denise Lewis's punditry adds anything.

Sheis so much better than Colin jackson, it is hard to criticise her.

Agreed she's a step up from Colin Jackson but she's still dire (both babble and spout utter garbage even when describing 'their own' events). Could be worse, thankfully we're no longer subjected to the muppetry of Gunnell.

Be nice to have a guest appearance from Steve Ovett if he's over for the games, I used to enjoy what he had to say.

America havent seen the race yet.  NBC have been saving Olympics coverage until primetime, but you'd think they would show the 100m live on a Sunday.   Pretty funny on Twitter.

Capitalism at its finest!

Yeah, from memory he appealed and they cut it short so they must've thought the original length was too heavy a penalty for the charge. 100m scene hasn't been clean since at least the 50's. I just enjoy the performances regardless. Would love to have seen Ben Johnson (cut off in his prime) v Bolt....

If Gatlin is competing at this level then he'll be subject to the same testing/scrutiny as every other athlete and medal winner and deserved his Bronze (on a similar note, I'm glad Chambers got his chance to run).  I wanna see the best/fastest athletes and pretty much ignore the fact they've passed/failed drugs tests as history has proved this to be a pretty useless measure of who has used performance enchancing substances.

One of the few races that went strictly to form!

With this being the first Olympics under the 'one false start and you're out' rule the world record not being broken must be a huge bet at 1.49.

Corals were going 2/7 about this around 3wks ago and was gonna play then but waited. Tonight Hills opened up @ 8/15 so had to get on tho track looks ultra quick so could be a close run thing. Just hoping he sits in the blocks and doesn't dip!

Enjoy!

Think they're gonna go a bit QUICK in the semis (low 9.7's) on what looks like a dream of a track for sprinters.

Have a combination of forecasts in the 100m.Bolt/other@7/1:  Blake/other@10/1 : other/Bolt@14/1 and other/Blake@16/1.   Also had Gay @12/1 last wk though he's bigger now.

Farah could scrape a Gold if EVERYTHING goes right for him tactics-wise but can't see him doing the double. Two medals of any colour would be a stellar performance given the strength of opposition.

Weird, Redgrave was last but seven.

I was thinking voided because it's a bet you couldn't honestly win.
