Stick McCoy on Long Run and he'd have the horse level going to the last for an epic battle and probable win...jockey learned nothing from the last beating they took imo.

Not sure you've read this article written by the filmaker. Hell of a story!

Totally unrelated to punting

Thanks for this! Haven't seen it but having just read the review will definitely do so. Wood Green is a place that will always have bad connotations for me (was attacked there in the late 90's...badly injured and told I'd never walk again...thankfully that didn't prove true!).

Having spent 5yrs in London, I'd always seen the transient nature of the population as a major plus (probably because I quitle like getting lost in crowds and keeping myself to myself) sorry to see that it seems to have been a contributing factor to this young woman falling through the net.

What the hell is going on in the world these days.

Scum, but I think its always been like this, just people have video phones to record it all nowadays.

Spot on!

Cheers for the infor but was on with Hills. Looked to be travelling well tho Uncle Junior may have had a slight edge just before the madness. Will watch again later and see if I can figure out wtf happened as the race turned into a 'what happened next' in an instant...took me a second to realise I was drawing dead!

lol not quite...closing stages in a 3m 7f corss-country race and the leaders take the wrong route...all sorts of carnage ensued when jockeys tried to get back on course! Cameraman didn't know where to look! Replay to race isn't up yet but you can find it here when it does.

Here it is...don't think I can watch again just yet! Too tilting Sad

2:20 Cheltenham

Was heavily on the favourite who'd have battled it out with Uncle Junior, not sure I'd have collected but to see the race fall apart like that left me bemused! Hopefully all the horses are ok.

Will no doubt tilt for the rest of the day!

Captained my all time favourite Brasilian team! I remember the playground buzzing with the names of Zico, Eder, Junior and ofcourse the wonderfully named Socrates. A great loss! (and yes, we were all doing the one-step pen after that goal...Class!)

Hell of a fight!

I'd backed the G-man to win this and thought the money was safe early but Benn was a fighter who was always dangerous if you didn't keep your composure and finish him off. Out of the Watson,Benn, Eubanks trio, I was always rooting for Watson and was devastated to see what happened to him (a true sportsman and good guy outside the ring, something which could never be said about McClellan if only half of the stories about him are true). I was never a big fan of Benn (couldn't stand his demeanour outside the ring) but I'm glad HE survived that fight...!

Not read a poker related book in ages so will get myself a copy....Those only connect walls are so addictive....great fun even if I do hear Coren saying 'No that's not a group!' with all too frustrating frequency! Easily the best quiz show host since William G. Stewart!

Up to a respectable 11

So I'm bound to finish 12th! Sad

Lol Jake codys done all three Wink

Is the winner doing another quiz?

That's some achievement and would explain why I know his name...I just don't know his face (hardly shocking seeing as I only ever skim poker mags while waiting for a seat in cash games and find most poker on tv unwatchable these days).

Just checked in to read the depressing news I finished bottom of the pile in this one! Amazed at some of the answers (tho not my tungsten shout for element which was included coz I've just started to teach myself how to play darts!...the rest I thought would put me in with a top 1/3 finish).

I didn't have Beckham in my top 3! For me it was Keegan, Lineker, Rush, Gazza...

India hammered by China...think if asked to name a famous 'asian' person top answer might be Ghandi over Mao Tse Tung or the Dalai Lama...

Almost put Bobby Robson down as my famous Geordie but figured more people would go for Jimmy Nail...WRONG, had Gazza 3rd on my list! lol I'm seriously rubbish at this game!

EPT/WPT/WSOP....Vicky Coren, winner on home soil? Our survey said...XXX!!! I wouldn't know Jake Cody if he walked past me on the street and couldn't name which title he had tho familiar with the name.

Can't get into people's heads at all but will keep trying in future. Can only get better I guess (can't remember the last time I got a wooden spoon...shakes head).

I'd want player A to be made to show if I was player B and had tabled King high to win.
